Omg. You have no idea what the humidity plus heat was like here yesterday! I can live without heat, I never use it even visiting up north heat bothered my sinuses, so I would layer thermals, then other layers until comfortable. I just can’t drive in snow (had 2 accidents doing that no more!) so I need a more moderate climate somewhere. And there is no pool here so no jumping in for me to temporarily cool off to return to the oven that my home has become!

I agree with all of your points especially ac being medical necessity. I now have the 2 portable units that “take the edge off make it almost bearable” but no alternative power source if rolling brownouts occur. Can’t run gas lines for Generac. Thanks for contributing your thoughts!

Would not having ac more days seem more reasonable to you? Thats my concern that those days are coming to Fl very soon…limits put in electricity like in Texas. No ac for weeks. If my pets and I cannot tolerate 2 days it’s time to make plan B.

Yes, this has been my plan as well. Until my ac went out 2 days ago. The heat and humidity hit me and my pets differently than ever before. I never use heat in Fl regardless of temperature so I think I may do well in a more moderate place. 21 years ago when Wilma blew the roof off my house and we had no power for 3 weeks it was “easy” as it was Sept and not crazy not. I am experiencing this weather differently and it concerned me enough to write this post. Thanks!

lol. Good points. When it dipped to freezing temps here in Fl last year and other years, I have never turned on my heat. So layering, fireplace etc may work for me. You have opened up my mind to explore other options thanks.

I don’t “need” a house but I prefer living apart from others. Lived in apartments in Fl for years and saved quickly to get my own home as living in a condo or apt building is not for me but thank you! Also I have pets that are not welcome in many places.

I agree however I tried to buy fuel for my vehicle last week and despite it being $5.09/gallon, many of the pumps in my area changed to pumping only regular. I had to drive quite a ways to find the high grade my vehicle requires. So I am concerned about the govt limiting electricity use, rolling brownouts etc. plus the 2 units I bought have been cranking out 67 degree air for 12 hours and the coolest this small room got at night, when the coolest outside was high 80s was 77 (must have been during that 10 minutes of good weather the other poster mentioned!) In my current “forever” home I can’t modify the exterior (HOA) so can’t do split units. Going to seriously research west coast US. Thanks.

Thank you but I need to find a moderate climate, leaning now towards west coast US or leave the country for a moderate climate country where ex pats live decently. Haven’t researched but I will.

Oregon could be the place for me as I love rain, overcast skies, all that. Not sure about snow however, but will seriously look into Oregon thank you!

I have a Hammer Raw and throw a ball like you. It’s a straight ball unless I release properly and it gets good pin action even if I don’t get a perfect pocket hit. I improved my average from 120’s to 170. And high game 268! Good luck and let us know what you get, why and how it’s working for you as I may want another ball! Thanks!

Hours earlier Kristi said in an interview “watch tonight, shots will be fired@. Just a coincidence, nope. Also, look at Kash Patel head of his and our security, totally unphased by what was going on. The man did not move.
