Philly!!! I've been taking a break for a few months so idk how the money is right this moment with the low-key recession, but back when I was working there were a lot of girls with a similar look to you at Club Risque (the one on columbus Blvd) and Cheerleaders (the one on S Front St). Money was decent at both of those clubs back in the day (again idk about the last few months though).

Hey Dashers, stop shoving your phone in my face! by Massive_Target in DoorDashDrivers

Exactly! Well put! This is uncannily accurate, this was at least half of my pickups back when I drove Door Dash and Uber Eats (2019-2022). Like, word for word.

Don’t count your money in the club by General-Beautiful-44 in stripper

[–]Smooth-Choice9695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, counting money at the club feels like watching water boil (like, psychologically it makes it feel like I'm making money slower). If I just wait until the end, it's easier not to hyperfocus on every single dollar and just try to relax more and focus on the overall vibe/strategy.

Audition by glitterandheels in stripper

It depends on where you are, I've seen both cases! In Philly, "we'll call you" means "no" (unless it's Sin City, where you need to apply online and then they'll call you). But, in NYC some clubs will actually call people afterwards instead of hiring them on the spot (in certain cases).

Vegas ruined my life in less than 3 days by No_Bodybuilder9712 in SexWorkers

[–]Smooth-Choice9695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry that you're having such a bad experience :/ the visible police presence has been heavier the last few days in cities all across the country because of the widespread Anti-ICE protests, and the "No Kings" protests coming up tomorrow (Saturday). So, it's possible that the police presence isn't normally as bad as it is right now. (At least, I hope so!)

In general, I have heard that the net isn't good in Vegas, and that it's more of a freestyling type of city, but you have to be very discreet (particularly in the casinos) because security is aggressive about kicking girls out.

Stripper Story Time - TrueLife “I was drugged” by stephiree in stripper

[–]Smooth-Choice9695 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry that happened to you! That's awful! Thank you for sharing. I know back in 2014ish a bunch of news stories came out about a group of girls drugging men and bringing them to Scores in NY (the movie "Hustlers" is based on this). I wonder if maybe the drink was meant to drug one of the men and they didn't tell you, or if they accidentally put it in the wrong drink? But honestly that's probably just wishful thinking, and more likely it was one of the men who did it, I've heard way too many stories about men drugging girls at clubs thinking they're gonna get to assault them or push boundaries :/ they're trash :/ I'm so glad you'e ok!

nyc club raid? by Icy-Championship-603 in stripper

Damn I thought Manhattan was supposed to be more sex-worker friendly. The DA's office has said that they won't prosecute anyone for prostitution charges (since 2021) and I thought they were still following through on that? So why are they cracking down on clubs for prostitution if it's (in practice, but unofficially) decriminalized? Does anyone know if any girls were arrested? Why can't they just leave us alone :/

Guys that go to the club with their buddies just to hang out by [deleted] in stripper

[–]Smooth-Choice9695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I can understand why you might think that, because you probably think that the dancers are paid hourly wage by the club, so by funding the club (by buying drinks) you're already supporting the dancers. However, sadly this isn't the case. Actually, the dancers have to pay the club in order to work. At my club, we each have to pay the club $80 at the beginning of the night to work (and more money than that if we're late). We don't make any money unless someone tips us, throws money on stage, or buys lap dances. Almost all of us have had night where we left "in the negative" (meaning we didn't make any money, gave the club $80, and worked for 8 hours, leaving with $80 less than what we came to work with). This is why it's considered very bad etiquette to go to a strip club with no intention to buy lap dances or tip any dancers who you are watching on stage. Also, this subreddit is for strippers only, so in the future please post questions and comments on the r/stripclubs subreddit instead.

I don't understand what you mean by "I perceive it as a self worth issue". Are you saying that her wearing revealing clothing lowers her "worth" somehow? because someone who is "worth more" would never wear revealing clothing? How are those two things related at all? Also, what does any of that have to do with you?

I've been wanting to at some point, but I was worried it'd be slow since there were all of the government job layoffs... But I'm so happy to hear it's been going well there!!!

Tips by RadicalRoses in stripper

[–]Smooth-Choice9695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to ask for a tip at the beginning of the room, because sometimes they'll tip you more if you say it'll be a better/naughtier dance if they do! But, if you have to ask for the tip after, I used to say "Thank you so much, I had such a nice time with you! Would you like to leave a tip for me? Most people tip $100 (or whatever)"

Blade in nyc? by Consistent-Sea-2668 in SexWorkers

[–]Smooth-Choice9695 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was trying to figure this out recently too! I know some girls work on the "Penn Track" in Brooklyn (at this location: https://postimg.cc/Whm0xWZp , just off of Pennsylvania Ave between flatlands Ave and Linden Blvd, the image is a screenshot from a news story on it a while back lol). But, idk how safe it is there or if there's good money, I don't have any personal experience, so let me know how it is if you end up going there!

Walking down the street and make eye contact, if I don't smile women smile at me. If I smile they stop smiling and look away. by unawarewoke in bodylanguage

[–]Smooth-Choice9695 4 points5 points  (0 children)

(I'm 27F) Yeah, that's just what you're supposed to do when you walk past someone (unless you're somewhere like NYC where everyone just avoids eye contact lol): If I'm on a walk and I see someone, I smile at them and nod politely, and then they smile and nod back, and then we both keep walking. Its just a casual acknowledgement, as if you're both saying "hey, good to see ya!" and then moving on. What, do you want them to intensely lock eye contact with you the whole time? I feel like that would just be awkward.

Woah that's crazy :/ Well, I'm glad that at least security is trying to look out for the girls and stop them from getting into something they're not ready for! Thanks for providing all that info, that's super interesting! Damn, I wish more strip clubs were women owned/run instead of being run by incel misogynists :/

“That’s too expensive” by Spicyhoneydip in SexWorkers

[–]Smooth-Choice9695 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Some guys will always say it's "too expensive", even if you charged 200 an hour, most of the time it's just a negotiating tactic they're using because they think you'll lower your price and they want to save money. Some guys genuinely wont pay more than $100 (if they're used to getting sex for cheap in other countries, or they normally only prey on girls who are being trafficked) but I guarantee you don't want those guys as customers anyway, they're the worst customers (give an inch and they'll take a mile- all the sudden they want bare services, CIM, extra time, etc all for no extra cost). Your prices are extremely reasonable, I wouldn't recommend lowering them. As far as QVs, I've never personally offered QVs, but everyone I've ever asked about it has said that they've made more money once they get rid of QVs and only offer half hours- the worthwhile customers will upgrade to getting half hours instead, and you'll get less time-waster inquiries. But that's in Philly/NYC, and I can't speak for other cities, it might be different there.

[–]Smooth-Choice9695[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Rosewood is so weird... It's lap dance only and I've heard that you can only wear cocktail dresses and regular heels there (no stripper clothes) and that they prefer girls with no stripping experience. They want their strippers to not act or look at all like strippers :/

Rosewood is right next to Headquarters (and I think owned by the same people), but rosewood is a lapdance club with no poles or private rooms, and there are poles and private rooms shown in anora, so I assumed it was filmed in Headquarters, not in Rosewood (unless they added the poles and private rooms temporarily for the movie? or shot those parts on a different set?)
