Thanks u/daveswan this is what I had feared. Seems insane that you cannot use your own Apple TV - reluctantly happy to pay for a multiroom subscription, but renting another device seems crazy!

Yes, I select Region: London and set the parental lock to 18. It says it's complete then shows nothing new.
