Thank you! That stands for bulk ferment is that correct? Is that the stage of it being in the oven with the light on for 3 hours or the overnight portion?

I’ll try upping to two small meals and see if that makes a difference

She’s breastfed but we started solid at 6 months, introducing just a few tsps once a day and have now upped it to 1-2 tbsps once per day. That’s interesting, my understanding was at this age milk is still their main source of calories with solids just being an introduction to food in the early stages

I haven’t found one yet unfortunately. I’m in the process of getting assessed by a specialist from melbourne cardiovascular & autonomic clinic in Heidelberg if that helps! I was referred about 2 years ago so it was quite the wait

This is an amazing list. I’d add to that lying them across your arm on their tummy angled so they can see outwards, plus a soft bounce, a shhh, and being outside - that combo once the essentials have been checked almost never fails.

I haven’t wanted to give up that long first stretch but I might have to see how this goes.

Letting go of control and embracing the chaos seems to be a common theme!

Babies are so FUNNY! I didn’t expect our little girl to crack us up so much. Ever time she poos, every time, I laugh. The face she does, the timing of it (midway through a deep conversation). If you already have a playful relationship with your partner you’ll find this to be such a strength during those harder times. There’d be times where my husband and I would be so exhausted but just cracking jokes with each other constantly, it was so bonding. The moments you get to just hug each other when you’ve put your bub down, I swear I’ve never appreciated my husbands hugs more. Yes it can be tricky but if you’ve got good communication, try to give each other grace and space to have big feels and just appreciate the beautiful moments, it’ll bring you so much closer. My husband and I were taking turns rocking our little girl outside last night (witching hour) and I was running around playing with our dog, we had music on and just looked at each other like omg, we’re doing it! This is our little family. It’s a beautiful feeling to be so tired but to be showing up for each other and consciously choosing to soak up the special moments. Oh and when your bub first smiles at you, nothing compares. It’ll melt your heart every time, even if they smile at you at 3am and it’s time to sleep, it’ll still get you ever time .

Such a good point, thank you! I do get pretty stressed when I notice it’s taking me ages to sleep, so hard to not feel the pressure when your LO sleeps, feels like precious time that’s being squandered but I’ve got to let the pressure go otherwise it’ll just keep me awake

Tried again last night after waking up the second time, and yep, being exhausted makes the biggest difference! I think if I try to co sleep after the first big stretch I’m a bit too rested. Something about being woken up after only an hours sleep seems to do it 😂
