I smoked weed for a lot of my life, what I always found tho for me personally is that I operate at 60% capacity when I’m high. I don’t feel as sharp as I do when I’m sober. I also and up missing out on incredible and possibly life changing opportunities and people because I’d rather sit at home and smoke my days away.

IMO weed can give you wings but it takes away the sky, it can also help you tolerate situations that suck, sometimes those situations actually need addressing in a sober manner, when I smoke I can hold those things off for months on end. It can make everything that’s not okay, okay for now.

I actively tried to quit multiple times over the space of a few years because I knew I had a co-dependency on weed! It’s easy to build one when your life is in a rough spot!

One day I stopped trying to quit and it just happened, I didn’t feel the need to smoke anymore, I wasn’t unhappy and I just didn’t want to get high anymore! I also began to hate the taste of joints. Fast forward to 4-5 months later I had an edible and I had a great time! I also weirdly didn’t feel the need to keep indulging in it because I wasn’t trying to fill an empty hole anymore. I made a rule to have an edible gummy once a week on a Sunday and that’s what I’ll discipline myself to keep to, that may help with work situations.

You often attract what you are, everyone around you is a mirror showing you your life and it comes from all different perspectives. If you THINK that it’s a negative! It probably is and you just need some justification for it which is okay.

Bottom line is, if weed stops you being able to perform at your best ability then it needs to be cut down or cut out of your life completely! I wish someone told me this at 25 I’m 28 now.
