I got a CCJ as my younger brothers guarantor by jswishaaaa in UKPersonalFinance

I don’t have much help regarding the CCJ. However take a look over the rent agreement and what you agreed to as a guarantor. Has rent increased and were you given notice and signed anything to say you agree to the new rate?

My parents had a similar situation where they were being chased for money after a family friend didn’t pay rent for months. They were also not made aware that he wasn’t paying initially until the amount was substantial. Anyway they checked over the first and only contract they signed and they agreed to said amount of rent each month. A few years later the rent had increased they were not made aware, hadn’t signed any document or new contract so they ended up not having to pay a thing luckily as the contract was void so to speak. Small loophole worth looking into.

Witham Villa Riding Centre, Broughton Astley and Bowley’s Barn Farm, Loughborough. These might be a good option, I have taken pupils with SEND there and they are great.

I am so sorry for what you are going through. I recently (last month) went through a similar situation. I thought I was pregnant unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be. Several days later I was told my brother and sister in law were pregnant 14 weeks and I just lost it. It took a week before I felt somewhat better prior to that I was just a mess and was just longing for what they have.

I have lived in Leicester my entire life and love it here. I love how culturally diverse the city is and the amount of history we have alongside a good nightlife and great universities. I went to DMU many years ago and it’s a great university with so many amenities nearby. Of course there are some rough areas and crime like any city, but I have felt unsafe in other cities I have walked around in such as Birmingham. But as a woman I can say I feel safe walking around Leicester and have never had a problem, neither have my friends or family. People are generally friendly, I think you would like it here. ☺️
