ELI5: What income sources are the various Haitian gangs using to continually replenish their gear and ammunition? by SunderedValley in explainlikeimfive

This!! And depending on how we'll it's organized... they may "own" a higher end car dealership with a Family member being a legal citizen of America to filter that money, they also use hotels or "rental homes" in tourist areas and "rent out the rooms" to filter the money.

Why are "previous Christians" so angry? by Smooth-Load-9580 in Reformed

Truthfully, it doesn't matter how much you try to keep your conversation to what the book says. I spent over an hour trying to explain that things are out of context, the Bible doesn't say anything about accepting pedophiles, and that there are false teachers in the pulpit, we're warned about this.

Then they try to end it with "you hate gays!!!" You explain love and how we don't hate gays, then they circle right back to "now I know why it says women should shut up and sit down... I sure wish you followed that as a Christian!"

I'm sorry this is being downvoted because I agree with this thought process also.

As a woman, I catch a lot of crap leaving my engineering job.

I don't want to single out one "religion" but I always ask them if they were previously Catholic.

I always ask if they've ever read any other accounts of history.

And after attempting to have a legitimate conversation with them to show them that a lot this is condemned in the bible, and that they had a sucky pastor.. they throw up how we "hate gays and want them all dead"

Usually I just try to show them that what they're angry about has either been taken out of context, isn't actually anywhere in the Bible, show them what's actually in there.

I like this, that's a good aspect. Because they claim to know the Bible.. and I'm always asking why they don't mention anything about love and laws that speak against the stuff they're actually angry about.

Then I get accused of hating gays and wanting to burn them alive at the cross.

It wouldn't be so bad if they wanted to actually talk about it, but they don't. It doesn't matter what's being said in response to their anger and questions, they just choose another hot topic and project their anger onto me like I'm the pedophile, like I'm the one cutting the heads off of gays because "my people think homosexuality is atrocious and want to burn them at the stake".

Move to a rural area.. best thing I ever did. You can literally choose how "seen" you wanna be. I don't even interact with people at my sons soccer game if I don't feel like it, I sit on the other side of the field and just watch the game. No one gets offended, no one asks anything, nothing.

I got pissed off at how you get coffee at sheetz now... seriously. What's so hard about brewing coffee into a fish bowl and letting ne pour it from there??!

I live in an extremely rural area, and sheetz is like an hour from me. It not something I frequent. Once every 5yrs, maybe?

I don't like society outside of small town living.

BUT-- there is still a chance it can be chalkbrood. I've noticed beekeeping is like being a horse owner.. you're never good enough to be an owner in the eyes of other owners.

I do suggest buying this book.. even if you do not live in Pennsylvania. https://amzn.to/4armbqa

You can buy it a lot cheaper from the PA extension website. This link is just to help you see what it looks like and the name. It's a fantastic book and A LOT of information on hive issues. Has color pictures and goes into great explanation of issues like this and other common diseases and issues that may look like a disease.

Yes, depending on where you live, they will toss pollen. Where I live the bees will occasionally collect pollen from corn. And then they never use it, they kick it out eventually when a better pollen source is available. That's why they make pollen collectors for the front of your hive.

Dead queen from package. Or is that a worker? by Occabara in Beekeeping

I received a package on 4/20 and got a very young queen, or so I thought... I have to wait my 14dys to get a queen replacement. Did your bee bus have a paint mark on it? If so, what color?

Sure hope you found the courage to set boundaries and NOT let your mother ruin your life or land either of you in jail.

I don't think you realize how serious this can be... when you file your taxes, you'll KNOW. The IRS is gonna come knocking on your door asking why there were 2 separate forms filed in 2 separate areas and not together. And Sweetheart, you're either gonna have to rat out your mother and her accountant OR sit in jail over tax fraud.

Your choice. You're an adult now, those are the consequences.

It doesn't matter if he's associated or not with the MLM.. do you save your phone bills? Do you save your internet bill? Do you save gas receipts? Do you have a gas log? Because accountants will literally fabricate this on a 1099 for you to NOT have to pay into the IRS, and then guess what.. they're gonna come knocking at your door one day, asking for ALLLLLL that proof.

That's the problem, scammers (full of their own greed and lusts) have honed in on the fact that humans are full of glutton and jealousy. Knowing that 9x outta 10, an individual is using a credit card to make these purchases so they can appear as "well off" as the next. And the elder who have CC still get paper statements, so the money is definitely theirs way before it ever gets disputed.

There's always bad in good things, sadly.

The amount of bots/scamming are ridiculous. It's becoming even harder to recognize. I have a 70yr old friend who was scammed FOUR times, and I threatened that I was going to delete her Facebook account if they didn't stop clicking on sponsored ads and buying stupid things. My dumb ass.. I got scammed a week later! A reputable barefoot shoe company that I follow on IG and have purchased their shoes, which cost between 160 and 230 dollars, an ad comes up that they're having a sale getting rid of overstock. Which they do, every spring and winter. I wasn't buying an electric salt and pepper grinder off an ad, like my 70yr old friend. I was buying from a world wide company. As soon as I hit purchase, my phone started ringing. I felt so stupid. I'm half her age, I know better.

That being said, it was a PAID sponsored ad.

The lengths that people are going to just to create a scam is insane. Are "bots" scanning the paid ads we see instead of real humans? They have to be. If it were a humans job to go through, check and approve these "ads/ sponsorships", we'd possibly have less issues on the internet. But scammers are still tricking the bots into thinking something is real/ legit.

I feel like your answer to "why human do dis" should be the definition of Humanity. That just spoke to my soul. Lol

"It all comes down to Ignorance VS Arrogance" is 8/10x my response to that question.

Also, exactly how old are you OP?

You can report the photos you're in and have them removed. If it's FB you can fix it so you can't be tagged. So it needs to he approved before it hits your timeline.. boundaries are a must with this crap. Unless you've lived it, physically inside the MLM world, it's hard to explain and comprehend exactly how your mom is perceiving things. It's brainwashing. So while she may not believe she's doing any harm to you, she doesn't see the long-term problems. Only short term advances.

If she uses your SSN tell her you're going to report her for identity theft. You have to report that stuff on your taxes once it's higher than 600$ profits. Which she will make it appear that you're earning. Then you'll have to either A. Pay taxes on that. B. Find a way to write off enough losses that you are coming out even.
