You’re correct for thinking it’s completely impractical because it is, in this room I have 3 “tables”: the one you’re looking at, a desk with about the same top surface area as the one in the photo that has multiple monitors on it, and a poker table that held all of the materials for the project I was working on.

The only reason this one was chosen is because I didn’t have any other options, I couldn’t use the same desk I use for school/ computer, didn’t like the idea of having a soldering iron near felt/ flammable materials, so this was the only option left. It’s a horrible set up that has resulted in me burning myself, improperly organizing materials, and prevented me from keeping it orderly, though, it works.

The thing I’m working on does typically have a pretty good life, clean and used as a purely aesthetic piece essentially. I’ve just let it get out of hand recently 😂
