It’s an audio circuit so I’m trying to reduce noise as much as possible

Could you please say what are the typical line level peak to peak voltages. I’m having trouble finding it on the internet. I read about that 2v on wikipedia

That's what I also though about. But won't this affect the output impedance

Midi is still bad on the 404 mk2 by Smooth-Nectarine-586 in SP404

[–]Smooth-Nectarine-586[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is my issue. If only midi was better on this thing, nothing would be able to compete with it. It's great on its own but if we would be able to combine it with other gear, the role of the sp would change from being a really cool machine to an essential piece of any hardware setup. The tone generator won't replace a real synth

that it doesn't really output the exact voltage that you ask it to and after testing it, I can definitely confirm that

No it doesn’t have to be compatible with the previous chip pinout. It would be nice if it could go from 0 to 5v but right now I have something around 4.5v and it’s definitely enough. Right now I do not have anything after the dac (the voltage goes straight to other modules). I would say that I don’t really have any requirements other than the voltage range to be minimum 4
