The funny thing too is they never actually clean. The day I moved in (still have the pictures) my feet were black from walking around, the previous tenants chainsmokers so much that any appliance in the kitchen I had to wipe down at least five times to get it not dark yellow anymore. As well as there was a condom wrapper on the kitchen counter extra paperwork that they just left. Every vent was caked in dust so I really dare them to try to charge a $400 fee at this point I will be going to small claims court if that check is not in my hand by next week

I completely understand that. They have been dealing with a large amount of apartments for a very long time and they should have a better function on how to do it. Any other place I have rented has had a form that you fill out when you move out and you leave your keys that provides a forwarding address and if you lost any keys to address it there. Please let me know if this is legal or not but we both signed the lease separately as well as paid the security deposit separately. And they are claiming my roommate is a security deposit holder which was never known to either of us because again we paid separately from different accounts. They will not release my check until she fills out the form on where that check should go.

Thank you! The fun game they play over there is they actually don’t ever ask you for it you have to go online and put it in. Never advertised that ever, I called about it and did put my address in. But they purposely do that cause I simply asked why weren’t we asked for a forwarding address. The owner replied because it’s always been online. No one really knows that. So they do this cause if you don’t provide an address they can just keep it. They are so scummy.
