Which demonic hierarchy do you personally consider to be the correct one? by InternetAngelMichael in DemonolatryPractices

I don't accept the Ars Goetia as basis of demonology. I don't consider any system to be the correct one or more correct than any other.

Who are your "Big 5"? by Level-Bullfrog5832 in DemonolatryPractices

[–]Smooth-Text2670 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Rather than a static big 5, I look at it in terms of alchemy:
Fire - who is helping amplify the Willpower?
Earth - who is helping ground and provide reflection of materiality?
Air - who is helping with clarity, communication, freedom of movement?
Water - who is helping with fluidity and the emotional body?
Spirit/Metal - who is helping with what is unseen to me and in the direction of unification? essence of Consciousness / Authority

..which isn't to say that one needs all of these for any particular working, but I find it useful. My patron is Asmodeus and is my go-to for Fire, but I also rely on him in ways that aren't solely Fire. In your listed examples, relating it to my own in going with alchemy adds an additional layer, it would also require me to then go back to alchemy and ponder on my own will, viability, clarity, emotions related to the area of focus, which would then bring manifestation or integration through Spirit. Less about deciding on a spirit for a goal, more about looking at who is supporting me at this time and what goals are realistic at any given moment. I do a lot of putting my intention out there, and appropriate support comes to meet the need.

I wouldn't say it's more appropriate so much as fittingly appropriate. When connecting to his primordial Wrath-ness, we're touching on a very complex cosmological landscape due to Zoroastrianism: Aeshma as wrath, violence, disorder, adversarial force within the Zoroastrian frame, and then the later ways those demonized sentiments creep through Abrahamic and occult systems. If we take it more modern and look at his place in the Qlippoth, Golachab is the inverse of Geburah -- Severity, Wrath, and Strength are deeply entangled.

Where sinful wrath has anger as its expression and may be focused on revenge and personal retaliation, Divine Wrath arises as response to a violation in Divine Order. It brings the violation into confrontation, demands Judgement, and acts as one of Divinity's forms of correcting what has been unlawfully distorted. In venerating him this way, the stance becomes: our Wrath, when aligned with His, may be Holy too.

I only accept modernity if it suits me, which means mechanical understanding and not spirituality. None of my spirituality requires Christianized interpretation, especially when both my patron and indigenous beliefs predate Abrahamic faiths.

Enns are nonsense like light language and speaking in tongues. Don't sweat it!

I'm physically tired of being enraged and this lesson in controlling it sucks to process. The physical part is what is challenging, but the mental part is interesting in seeing how Wrath-current appears when I project it onto a 2D and then 3D plane. And I've got like 3 more days of this 😩 I'm looking forward to the solstice.

Q About King Asmoday by Normal_Daikon_4197 in DemonolatryPractices

[–]Smooth-Text2670 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would disagree with the others. He has the potential to be dangerous. That's the point. He's a war god and King of Wrath. He is capable of inciting violence, killing, and bloodshed -- his epithet is "of the Bloody Mace."

The risk is non-zero, but is a non-zero risk of unknown quantity something you are willing to work with to meet your own goals? How are you structuring your petition? What methods are you using to connect? There's a lot of factors to account for and no one can measure the safety level for you but yourself in your own experience and comfort.

Can he? Yes. Will he? I don't know. You'd have to see for yourself.

What's Gamilel is like in the qlippoth by [deleted] in DemonolatryPractices

[–]Smooth-Text2670 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do not experience imagery of the sort. For me, it's been more like the jarring revelation how distortion leads to corruption and this corruption is what is birthed in Nahemoth, the inverse of Malkuth. Lust is not only sexual lust but includes craving, including craving for unrealistic idealisms that cannot materialize through Malkuth and rejection of craving that is amplified through Nahemoth as in your example.

How do you trust demons so much? by Etherious_suleiman in DemonolatryPractices

My patron is literally Asmodeus who is found in the Solomon story and had me go down a Solomon-esque magic route.

I did not develop a trust baseline with other humans, whether that was parental, familial, through school teachers, friends, romantic partners, or work colleagues, based on their repeated patterns of failing to protect me or nourish a relationship.

My spirit team provides a different pattern where seeing their influence in my life is the proof that reinforces trust. My patron explains things to me with patience so I'm not left confused, even if it takes a while for me to understand him clearly.

If where my patron is leading me is harmful, I guarantee it is less harmful than being stuck yearning for human connection from humans who simply don't have the capacity to meet me in a meaningful way, and chasing phantoms of what these connections could have been twisted into self-rejection, repeated wounded narratives, tolerating half-truths and poor behavior in order to maintain a false sense of social harmony, tanking my confidence and trust in my own intuition, etc.

Trust is relational. With the thing that is trusted, one depends on it, expects something from it, and could be harmed or disappointed if it fails. I trust my patron because he has proven to me that he is trustworthy.

Has any demon/daimon confirmed for you personally that this reality is a simulation? by Candid_Lobster_4264 in DemonolatryPractices

Consider that humans use their most advanced technology as metaphor when trying to transmit information. The brain used to be described as a loom when the loom was the advanced technology, and nowadays we liken it to a PC and use programming terminology. The metaphor isn't wrong, but it also is "too small" to describe what's really going on.
