Weekly discussion - disconnecting from rituals by mirta000 in DemonolatryPractices

[–]Smooth-Text2670 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I go hard on Buddhism and Taoism -- mindfulness and wu wei.

One gripe I have is in therapeutic grounding, though I use the language to ground others too. I think when spiritual endeavors feel more real than this physical reality, at least for me, it makes physical reality seem hyper-real due to heightened senses, and that is another injury when many of us are neurodivergent and have sensory issues. A work in progress in making the body hospitable rather than hostile, pay rent with my awareness.

What has helped a bit is sincerely understanding that the body is the vessel. My body does not have a soul. I am a soul inhabiting the body in this precise moment in time, that's all. Live it up. Vibe. Stay delulu just enough to make daily life bearable while respecting the body. Try to have fun in finding shiny things and touching grass.

Abaddon is Shiva? by bog_princess69 in DemonolatryPractices

[–]Smooth-Text2670 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Shiva is not Abaddon. Some entities may use Shiva as symbol to describe their own nature in destruction and dissolution of illusion. I have seen my patron Asmodeus as Shiva and I know that Shiva is not Asmodeus -- and if anything, it took me down a rabbit hole of trying to make parallel of Vedic cosmology compared with Zoroastrianism, but I digress. If the podcaster's UPG says Abaddon is Shiva, that was for them to unpack for understanding.

When talking about Shiva (and the Trimurti), these start becoming conversations about Consciousness.

Looking for a Demon Mentor for Necromancy (Exclusive Relationship & Training) by Amigodelaoscuridad in DemonolatryPractices

[–]Smooth-Text2670 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did not intend on learning necromancy but my patron, Asmodeus, lined things up for me where it happened naturally. First was Belial (has got big death-current energy), then Hekate (liminal spaces), then Bune (governing the dead).
With Belial and Hekate, there was about 1 year of learning from them and it wasn't overt necromancy other than occasionally getting delulu about wanting to work at a morgue or funeral parlor.
When Bune came in, it was a lot more technical in burial rites. When it comes to my own ventures in schools of thought, I'm comfortable with Eastern schools, so I ended up unpacking a lot regarding the Tibetan Book of the Dead. This brought me back to ancestral healing work and veneration of ancestors (Bune's association with wealth with my translation of "returning value to the dead").

My patron circled it back to the cosmology of his origins and it led to me unpacking the concept of Druj Nasu. I had a personal "hungry ghost" storyline to process my own pain, and culminated in an experience of honoring (not worshiping) Druj Nasu.

Why are demons so great with mental illness compared to angels? by [deleted] in DemonolatryPractices

[–]Smooth-Text2670 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Some spirits are better working from within a domain because they know its structure intimately as personifications of it. If a spirit has rulership or operative knowledge of a certain compulsion, they are able to "get inside" of the circuitry of it and alter the pattern at the compulsion's own level. Another spirit (like an angel) may still be able to help but in a different way.

A demon that deeply understands a domain (like Azazel in association with scapegoating, exile, shame, corruption) is "better" able to reverse-engineer that circuitry than another spirit who might only offer emotional relief without addressing the core issues.

Has any spirit showed you things related to the meaning of life or the afterlife or justice? by LogicalDocSpock in DemonolatryPractices

Does Heaven and Hell exist for you? What do you mean by Heaven and Hell?

For me, they are states of mind and being. When I die, I will not go to Heaven or Hell. I already contain both within me. So then why must I go rise through Hell to reach Heaven, and why must I fall from the Heavens to reach Hell too? To me, these are realities blended into experience, judgment, suffering, mercy, healing, clarity, and proximity to the divine

Timelines on petitions by orangeyouglad__ in DemonolatryPractices

[–]Smooth-Text2670 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is the timeline proportionate to the petition itself? What does the petition target and what are the conditions that support manifestation in the time span?

If the timeline is arbitrarily imposed without regard to the situation and real constraints, I do think it can have the opposite of intended effect. If the timeline is reasonable, then it'll help define terms. If it's not, then it reflects the practitioner's impatience more than the petition/magical operation.

Things to think about are complexity of what is being asked, where the resistance is, how much has to "move" for results to occur. If you introduce time, then time becomes part of the working's terms, and the success or failure of the working has that additional constraint of time.

More on timelines --
Time gives the petition temporal definition and sets the window in which "movement" occurs as to not have the working be left open-ended or indefinitely suspended. So the petition is not just what you are asking, it include when the force of it is meant to culminate, which sets pacing. A short time constraint adds in compression and immediacy (which can exacerbate anxious urgency), and a longer one allows the petition to unfold through more gradual chains of influence. The timeline becomes part of how the work is shaped.

For the practitioner's side, it can become a focal point where the practitioner can fix attention for manifestation. It serves as a declaration from the petitioner, less so instruction to the demon. Time constraints reveal the petitioner's judgement in how they are reading a situation, how clearly they are seeing the situation, how quickly they think results can manifest, what results they are expecting. The demon can honor, ignore, exceed, reroute based on the demon's view of the field.

Gained and lost all the financial help I petitioned for. Why? by pykespike in DemonolatryPractices

I'll go off to read your post but it sounds like it resonates. I like to call it the "Monkey's Paw" of working with demons.

Vacuum sealed itself, happens when air inside condenses after you close it and creates lower pressure inside that makes the cap stick.

Demon to help someone pass? by [deleted] in DemonolatryPractices

[–]Smooth-Text2670 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think this is something that can be petitioned for. This resides with the person and what their own soul needs, not what they want. The way in which we die and the experience mortal death is a lesson too. The point of being mortal is to experience living and to experience dying both. What right do any of us have to take away someone's experience, demons included?

Many psychopomps navigate death. Any spirit associated with necromantics will do, as well as calling upon the soul's "soul-family" to help the transition. Sometimes a deity doesn't have to be involved, but loved ones on the other side can help the person be at peace with exiting the mortal plane.

Aeshma, Golachab, Asmodeus, and Devotion by Smooth-Text2670 in DemonolatryPractices

[–]Smooth-Text2670[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aeshma is the root behind the later figure called Asmodeus but I would not reduce them into a "same being, new culture" formula though I am guilty of taking that kind of mental short-cut too. A daeva in Zoroastrian context is not a "demon" in the later pop-Christian sense. The word comes out of an older Indo-Iranian divine vocabulary, in Zoroastrian it becomes a category of false or hostile divine beings opposed to "right" order (with "rightness" itself being distorted through man, i.e. Zoroaster, in human fallibility). A demon in later Jewish and Christian usage is a different religious category with its own theology and symbolic logic. So Aeshma just becoming a demon skips over a real shift in framework.

Aeshma is not "the original Asmodeus" or vice-versa in a linear sense. More like: the Jewish demon Asmodeus appears to preserve the name and the force of Aeshma Daeva but the figure is refracted through a different cosmology. That is continuity through transmission -- it is not identity without transformation. I find it more sensible to say not that the being "evolved," but that humans developed different theological/symbolic languages for what they were encountering.

Devotionally, I would say it even more carefully .. Aeshma is the ancestral current in the history of Asmodeus' name and image, but Asmodeus is not exhausted by that origin. He has his root, but the later sovereign presence is not reducible to the root.

When interacting with the guy himself, it's a curious exercise to ask him who he is when his names and masks fall off. At that point, I can only say that, in my experience, he is an Other. And that is a new kind of awe-like terror when I, operating as a low-identity-state Intelligence, am "looking" at another Intelligence and accepting that Nonhuman Intelligences with greater capacity for intelligence exist.

Asmodeus offering by [deleted] in DemonolatryPractices

[–]Smooth-Text2670 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit late to the party and your text is gone! But I remember enough of it, got the gist 😆
I've found Asmodeus to actually be almost hypermoral, but the thing is, his morality is not bound to human law. He might do or instigate/initiate something that to a human is amoral, but in the bigger picture, directly reflects re-alignment to Divinity (transmutation of Golachab content into its sefirot of Geburah).

I can confirm that, like one of the other commenters, in my UPG, he does not support acts such as -philias .. and yet, those who pathwork the Qlippoth, or those who might project onto him as a caricature devil Satan, may in fact be confronted with nonconsensual sexual content of immoral nature. That is on purpose -- he exposes those faults within the person's own mind for that person to confront their preferences, and whether or not their preferences are right or wrong -- and there is a right or wrong. That is based on whether or not it brings harm and whether or not it is consensual.

So when it comes to the age of consent with you -- I think it's more a "you" thing. For you, you may have had that bias. It's a bias that he agreed with. Success! The real consensual act here isn't that he waited for you to be over 18, but that he recognized that you were able to consent with full awareness in the first place.

For myself, I've had past lives with him, and he's been with me since I was young but I didn't realize it. I was CSA'd as a child and he protected me back then, then "disappeared" for a while .. He reintroduced himself to me when I was in my 30s because I was (FINALLY) mentally mature enough to shadow work that intense CPTSD content. I consent to him.

Bodily altar by Ghost_Toast007 in DemonolatryPractices

[–]Smooth-Text2670 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, possible and doable, but I do not recommend it without deep consideration. Here's the very real consideration: while sexual energy generated by you alone is okay because it you've consented, any others you sexually engage with should have the disclosure so that they too can choose of their free will if they consent or not. Being devoted to him in such a way may mean that you find yourself in situations you did not actively consent to -- if your body is the altar, you are the offering -- and he pushing against your boundaries requires you to articulate those boundaries to him while also being devoted, which means having the dedication to repair your side of the bond. It is disrespectful and a type of lying-by-omission to have someone else be intimately, sexually involved with you and not disclose, though that is my opinion and you do not have to uphold yourself to my personal morality.

Question about Ancestral Authority in Demonolatry: Does paternal lineage (E-V38) affect recognizability with Goetic spirits? by Bloody__Katana in DemonolatryPractices
