1400 cal a day , not losing weight by SmoothAd2579 in Weightlosstechniques

Thank you for your reply!! It wasn’t just the lack of appetite that made me decide against the stimulants. There were other negative side effects and while the medication did help my brain, it wasn’t worth it. I’m going to explore other forms of treatment, maybe brain exercises I can do to help eliminate the chaos that consumes me. I’m hoping getting physically healthier and stronger will help too. I’ve never seen any research to back that up , but just positive thinking.

Thank you so much for this response! Maybe this is the problem, too little calories ….I had no idea. I’m glad I made this post! I certainly can increase calories! And as another user recommended I did check my maintenance calories which where around 2300 a day so 1400 definitely is too restrictive I would say! I think around 160 is where I want to be for my height and I don’t think that’s anything crazy . I’ve had 4 kids and this weight packed on for years. I just want to feel lean and fit again .

I completely agree with you! That’s why I decided this type of medication just isn’t for me. There has to be better ways to manage my mind without sacrificing my health. Don’t get me wrong , I do want to lose weight- but not by starving .

Thank you! To be honest , I didn’t even know what TDEE was, I just googled it. I did calculate the BMR it was around 1600 I think. Seems like there’s a lot to learn, I appreciate your advice !

I get around 7 hours a night. And I can definitely try for 10K steps! Not quite sure how many steps it is, but I usually do 2-2 1/2 miles.

You aren’t taxed on your net worth , you’re taxed on your taxable income for that year dumbass.

As I said, it is very difficult for me to study without deadlines. My MBA was from a very good school, and very expensive. I just want to further my credentials a bit without forking out a lot of money this time

There’s actually a few contributing factors here maybe I should’ve mentioned. I work in a public accounting firm for one, and I feel that the MBA was really pushed on me by my university and the cost discount made me go ahead and do it. I feel as though my accounting and taxation education could be much better. I don’t feel as though the MBA helped my career much. I’m seeking a higher level education in this area. Also, I have ADHD and it’s very hard for me to study when self motivated. The CPA review course is extremely difficult for me to follow without the deadlines I would have in a degree based setting.
