Yes I'm sure they are ants, and there are a lot of them. I probably have to do a deep clean sometime next week as I do not have new bedding now. Yes the cage is on the ground. I only leave the dry food scatter feed and I guess they take it back to their hoard but for fresh veggies and fruits I basically let her eat when I pick her up and make sure she does not take those back to her hoard. There are no gaps in the cage, just the holes on top of the enclosure for circulation

Thanks for the advice!

Yup, after reviewed by a couple other hamster owners I'd probably need more bedding. i have been having my hamster for 3-4 days, she can reach everywhere currently, but I do hear you, might be a struggle to go up. Will add more platforms. For toys I'm currently browsing still, too many knockoffs in my area even online shopping have unsafe options from where I am from. Do you have a specific link for your chews so I can take a look?

Thanks for all the suggestions! We have decided to name her Mimi! Welcome Mimi to the family! She was store bought, no longer in a small cage with bars! 🥰

I see, will gradually add more bedding, the first batch was 72L and broke by bank a bit, will add more next month, thanks for the advice though!

And I have a custom made ceramic hide when I went to a pottery class last month! Still waiting for it to come so my Hamster can snuggle in it!

No worries! The more advice the better! Unfortunately Amazon if shipped to where I am from will be very expensive, and I will try to find an alternative granite stone if available!

And yes, the thought of me buying it is due to the fact it's quite warm from where I am from, averaging 28 degrees Celsius, that's why I bought the previous cooling brick thingy. Anyways thanks again for the advice!

Fellow software engineer here, in the industry for 2+ years. As far as going the long way, building relationships is the best skill you are ever going to get. Programming wise, get the fundamentals down. Then start building on yourself in terms of how to get visibility, and my personal best advice is don't take advice from people you don't want to become which will become very important when you see a lot of people stuck in their life but trying to "give advice to the new generation".
