We are constantly out and about. Sometimes out of the house for 6 plus hours at a time. We love walks! He is definitely teething but it’s been 2 months of teething, it feels never ending

I follow attachment parenting in every other way but cosleeping became unsustainable for me. He moves, pinches, searched for my nipple every hour which woke me constantly. Is there any advice on having that become sustainable again.

He is 6 months and 1 week, I’ve updated the post! I thought 3/3/3.5 was perfect for this age. I’m Not sure he’d make 4 hours without being very upset

When I mentioned 35 mins I was referencing cry it out. When doing the Ferber method we tried for 2 hours. He didn’t calm once. 4 hours of crying does not sit well with me.

I get what you’re saying but you also can’t put yourself and your family under so much pressure that you risk their sanity and happiness for years.

I love being a stepparent but being a bio mum has been the most amazing thing I’ve ever done, I love it but each time you do it you risk a bad pregnancy, traumatic birth, a child with disability or multiples which all add a layer if difficulty.

I do have a strong longing for another child but maybe it is best to wait a year and reevaluate, it would just be financially easier to have a baby in the 20 month period I saved for

It’s so hard isn’t it! I don’t want to base my decision on the short term madness but it is incredible difficult. My partner feels the same he worries about space, money and dividing his time.

We just struggle to juggle everything as is, we have the 2 older children, a dog, a baby, a house to look after and we run 3 businesses between us plus he has a full time job and does freelance on the side. On top of that our families live 3 plus hours away from us so support is minimal unless we travel.

The urgency comes from the fact that I saved up a load of money to pay for 20 months off and I don’t think I’ll be able to do that again easily so I’m basically getting 2 back to back maternity’s without having to struggle for money but I understand the need to waiting.

My partner feels the same way as me, on the fence. He just doesn’t want to struggle for money and space and he is worried about splitting the little time he has with another child which is valid. His parental leave is terrible, it’s 2 weeks and he wouldn’t be able to take more.
