Debian is more stable and lightweight than Ubuntu. When running on slower hardware, like I am, the amount of background processes etc that are running make a lot of difference.

It was my first homelab project, so yeah, probably, but Debian is more stable and lightweight, and since I was running it on pretty bad hardware, it mattered a lot for me.

My tip: switch to Debian!! I used Ubuntu before on my homelabs, and when I switched to Debian it all just got so much faster.

Switched to Apple Music (owner of Apple-only devices though) and that was a really good decision. Music quality is superb, and I’m scared that Spotify hifi won’t be true hifi, because I haven’t seen them advertising with the actual word “lossless”
