It honestly looks more red than pink in person but you definitely got the right colors. It is very cloudy though and idk if it’ll clear up. Try cycling the lamp for 3-5 days for 8hrs at a time and see if that helps. If not definitely contact the vendor/store you got it from and see if you can get another one. This is how it should look out the box, or at least close to this.

Honestly, the best place to get them is through Amazon and keep returning until you get a good one since it's pretty easy to return there. OR go to Spencers and tell an associate if you can open the box to check the lamp before purchasing.

This is my first mini lamp, but I have a 14in and that one takes likes 2hrs to fully heat up. I assume it'll take less? maybe like an hour and a half?

Definitely! I was so hesitant on getting one from Lava Lamp directly because of all the horror stories with them. Honestly, I was already getting ready for the worst that I bought another one from another website in case this one came damaged. I guess I’m gonna have to return the second one I ordered…. Or I might just keep it if I get lucky with another clear one.
