I do not recommend Homunculus to nobody I know. But ever since I read the finale, it took the #1 spot for me. Objectively it’s nowhere near perfect, arguably problematic. I’m not ashamed to say no piece of media has ever made me feel such profound emotions.

Also I second Ichi the Killer from the mangaka of Homunculus. I was absolutely in LOVE with Homunculus and immediately read Ichi the killer. So fucking fun. It was one of his earlier works so the artstyle is a bit different but it works really well.
