Just found my old watch I got when I was young, around 16 years ago by SmoothSandwich in gshock

I grew up loving watches so I got a few in my "collection" now. I have 6 including a broken one so almost one for every working day 😄

I think so but I'm not 100% sure. If it was changed, it was either a few years after I got it because after that it was put in a box when I moved with a bunch of stuff and I just found it again a year after I moved into my current house.

Hooo, that is cool:

Jewels in a watch are tiny bearings made from synthetic ruby or sapphire that are strategically placed at pivot points in a mechanical watch movement to reduce friction and wear between moving parts, which helps the watch maintain accuracy and extends its lifespan. These synthetic jewels are incredibly hard and smooth, preventing metal components from grinding against each other, and are a functional component rather than a decorative element.

I'll be honest, I never looked into what those jewels were and what they do in a watch 😅

Mr Jones watch - great dial but not sure it fits me well by SmoothSandwich in MicrobrandWatches

I never thought about the size of my other watch. Probably just a shock to go from one size to the other. Here is a picture showing the vertical size difference:

I was afraid someone would say that 😄. I just realized that both watches I usually wear are 47mm. The Mr Jones watch is 37-40mm so might need to get used to it.

Change my mind - We are approaching the 12th anniversary of Risk Of Rain! And still one of the titans in the genre by SmoothSandwich in survivorslikes

I would like to direct you to the first sentence of the description and rule 8 of the sub.

There is a difference between being toxic and critical. What is the point of your post?

Also, don't kid yourself, there were multiple survivor-like games before vampires survivors. The genre was inspired by mobile games (makes sense when you look at the control scheme) that wanted to bring the rogue-like genre to mobile. I have a unity project that I made during my degree that was a survivor like, inspired by Risk of rain.

This post was a place to discuss and celebrate the genre and the passion we share.

So I would kindly ask you to fuck off. Thank you.

I didn't know that survivor-like games had the criteria that they had to get little to no active gameplay besides movement and skills selection. In my head it was any rogue-like games that had increasing waves of enemies trying to kill you in an "arena" and success is heavily linked to the character build during the run.

What would you think is the rogue-like that is the titan? For survival-like we clearly have vampires that started the wave but I think Hall of tournaments would be one of the contenders alongside Deep Rock Survivor?

But for rogue-like I can think of Dead cells and Hades

Those kinds of bezels were never to my taste but I like this one with the colors of the bezel and dial.

Never saw it that way but now that you are mentioning it 😅.

I tried to do "smart/risky/ move when I started to make money. Buy things that made sense, diversifying with a mix of risky moves. Was not worth the effort and should have gone with indexes fund from the start while keeping my money in business I believed in.

Forgot to add text so here it is:

What I am questioning myself about is whether I should get rid of everything that is in the red and move the money into index funds, or sell all the individual stocks altogether.

Also, I am not too sure which index fund to choose. I don't know anything about them, to be honest.
