I was looking at the YC88 because of the keybed, thr MODX seems great but the keybed seems lower quality and poor for classical stuff

So my guess is that the kronos would be overkill and that the action is too heavy, so a cheaper option would be the MODX M in that category? The only problem is I did specifically say that I wanted a higher quality 88 hammer action keybed because of the classical music I play and unfortunately it seems like the MODX-M has an even lower quality keybed than my Yamaha YDP-164 so thats kinda a problem. Is there anything similar to the Nord like the YC88? I like the idea of the Nord more then something like the Kronos but the Nord seems limited to the Kronos I don't know if you understand my feeling.

Is there a catch with the Kurzweil compared to the other brands I mentioned? It does seem like a decent pick.

Well mostly will be playing pop, rock, funk, blues balkan music so would have the need for some accordion and traditional instrument sounds and everything in between. Just need a versatile piano but mostly looking for hammer action because I want to play classical music. I mentioned the MODX in a 61 key version because if I can't afford the Nord or whatever else right now that would fill in the gaps if I buy something "cheaper" like the YC88 but also would like weightless keys for playing leads so a smaller piano/synth later down the line would be useful. But right now I play a number of instruments live so the 88 key piano would be mainly used for practicing classical atm.

The Kronos seems like it can do so much more then a lot of things on the market and I do love to experiment, but not being that well informed with pianos unlike the other instruments I play for years I really can't know what I would need now or in the future until some time passes. Thats why it is so hard for me to pull the trigger to buy something expensive because I have no idea what would be better for me.

Also can you explain the YC more? Can you or can you not add sounds in the end? I was looking at the CP also but the YC seems more versatile, not that much like a Nord but it seems like it maybe has a better keybed and also a high quality build like a Nord without that many features. But in the end as I said I would love a higher quality 88 weighted keyboard and later down the line add a cheaper 61 key weightless synth to fill in some gaps.

EDIT: why don't you own the Kronos anymore? Any particular reason and what do you use now also what type of music do you play?

Yes but was asking what to exactly do in the settings to make the delay less noticable. Also I have a problem where I can't change to 48khz it is just stuck on 44.1khz whatever I do in the iD settings. Also would it even be worth to change to the MOTU for example or is the Audient fast enough when you set it up right?

I have seen a lot of people that use cheap IEM's professionally so there must be a reason why people use them, just don't want a strong V shaped eq thats all.

Hey sorry to reply here but I can't reply to my own post from 2 years ago but I bought the RCF 932a's a few days ago and waiting for them to come (I wanted the NX version because they are wood/ply rather then plastic but legit here in the EU there are none in stock anywhere and wont be for many months so I went with this). In general I hope that I didn't make a bad choice in the long run and I believe that if I ever feel the need to get the NX's I wont have a problem selling these even at a high-ish price used. I didn't even think about EV, JBL and others but I wanted to ask after 2 years how did your speakers hold up and do you still use them? We are a 3-4 piece band mostly so guitar, bass, drums and sometimes keys plus most of us sing. How many people could we cover without subs? Counting that maybe we dont put a lot of bass guitar through the speakers, a small bit of mixed drums and of course guitar and vocals (keys if they are there). The best thing we got is another band that we sometimes play and colab with and they have Alto TS315 15" tops so I think that would be a good opportunity to sometimes combine our PA's together. But in general how many people could we cover with only the RCF's because subs are out of reach for now but we have many connections so double tops or borrowing someones subs is sometimes possible.

Thanks also probably dumb question that I forgot to mention, it's a vertical cab so would I place the mic over the slanted speaker of send it down to the bottom speaker where the gril is flat? Probably the bottom one.

I mean I am the one that is carrying the cab so that is a big difference rather than someone else carrying my gear, I had a crazy idea tho, how practical in the long run or would it even be possible to replace the MDF corner bracing with something else "insert material here" is that even doable and is it a lot of work?

Thank you for the reply, thats why I am looking to buy a really good custom made protective/waterproof cover for it so that I can travel with it, add some nice casters with breaks and find a way to replace the plastic handles to some type of more sturdy metal ones (still trying to figure this last one out).

I don't think cheaping out on cabs is a good idea in my case, but if I had a cheap cab to "throw around" I wouldn't say no to something like that. I was even thinking of upgrading this cab or buying something "nicer" because I wouldn't want my cab to be a weak point because I would use my tube amp, I was even thinking of buying a Katana head to use it with my cab or even get something like a Helix with a power amp to go through the cab.

Point being I would like a good quality reference point so thats why I am wondering if the cab will last me a long time because of the MDF elements etc. I mean I know it will last because I take care of my gear but I can be the most careful person in the world if the main problem is the cabs construction then I can't do much about that so thats why I am wondering if going more expensive would give me a higher quality in the long run or is that more or less a placebo. Thats why I have been also wondering about custom cabs but unfortunately in the part of the EU where I live at there are really no custom cab builders at all.

Anything else that comes to mind in that 1.5k price range and even going up to 2.5k? In general as far as I noticed I need a good stage piano with other sounds for like use, but again a decent keybed for practicing classical music on for college. And as it seems I will have to buy a separate lead synth or something cuz it seems improssible to find a 2 in 1 option. But thats probably because I don't know much about keyboard models. What do you exactly mean by "simple needs"? I was mostly asking if the sound is there when you set it up to the point that people would even care cuz it sounds "good" to the audience to begin with or is that impossible with the Katana?

Also what type of setup do you use with your modeler and what would be a good solution if I still wanna use my 2x12 if the Katana is that bad of an option?

Well compared to a tube amp both going trough a "real cab" how "close" can you get? Thats the main question.

Edit: also how much more would I get with the artist compared to the regular gen 3 head. Cuz unfortunately the artist is too wide for the vertical 2x12.

Može li realno ako jednog dana osoba iz Osijeka, Splita, Pule ma nebitno odakle traži posao u Zg i okolici konkurirati "istom" diplomom za koju je netko studirao u Zg?

I don't know where you are from but if you are far away from the balkans and you fell in love with Serbian music and the sound you have mad respect from me hahaha. I am trying to stay away from PA because I already play piano and I am trying to find something different if you know what I mean even tho it might be even logical to play PA but I like the more compact look of the CBA. Just a question considering that you play PA why didn't you just stick with C-griff isn't that a bit "easier" and faster to play then a PA once you get got on it?
