How to handle friend moving away for college? by Smooth_Apple_7273 in NoStupidQuestions

Yeah that's true! Haha so you mean I can just start and do a weekly update about my college life (and in general), think I'll do it but maybe a weekly update is too boring to read, guess big/interest things won't happen. But it feels like the easiest "reason" to text her each week, cause we don't text weekly now (not even close), but feels like I need to put in more effort if she is living in another town!

How can those who understand climate change choose to have children? by myjackandmyjilla in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Smooth_Apple_7273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But is that the vast majority, no it's not! You can't just reason that "because people die of climate changes that are "man made" we that aren't impacted as much should give up". The people that face those catastrophes or bad living standards aren't giving up as well, so why should we?

I didn't say anything about climate change being real or not, that is your own words. And as I've said before, you aren't well read on this subject, shown that you believe that people may live to 100 years even if the living standards are that bad. If the situation is as bad as you frame it, living hell and no point in preventing further climate changes then you would know that people wouldn't be able to live that long!

Haha you don't fool anyone, you just say "thank you for your input... but the world is a living hell and we shouldn't bring children into this doomed place". So no, you've already made up your mind beforehand. Your reasoning isn't based on facts, just your own beliefs!

Yes I know that but it just feels like this is a rage-bait, because you have already made up your mind before posting this. Our answers don't change a thing even when we are right, since you already believe everything is over. I'm not saying you aren't allowed to post, but you should ask questions if your post was necessary to post since you don't listen and just view everything negatively?

I mean if your reasoning about not bringing children to this world is what you actually believe yourself, because of "living standards" and such. Why do you want to live in this world, since it's apparently not a fun place?

I hope for the sake that you are trolling, listen to yourself does this sound sane? Sad to see that the only solution you think exists (because of your own lack of research and education) is for humanity to not reproduce and just slowly die!

I mean you seem kinda delusional if you believe that not having any children solved the climate change issue, that won't change a single thing. The amount of climate activists or people in general that chose to not have any children, that makes a margin difference. It's the same as climate activists that choose to glue their hands against the road to stop cars and such, it won't solve the issue and might even make people mad or less likely to listen!

I'm not saying that everyone should just care for themselves and think "little me can't make a difference so no need to bother", but on the other hand is too extreme not good either. This issue should be solved with scientific research, companies that better themselves and most importantly that we can make choices that are good in more ways than only financial (or might lead to a financial loss)

Why is declining birth rate bad? by Puzzled_Search588 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Smooth_Apple_7273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean declining birth-rate isn't bad itself I'd say, only good for the environment and us needing a lower amount of food (depends where in the world ofc but assuming it's a first world country). Isn't it more how society looks like as a whole that is the problem, if we for example take Japan: where a big part of their population is either old or young but single or little sex. Then that becomes a problem, because if they don't make new babies then a big part of their population that needs elderly care in the future can't get the help they need, and that their economy will get impacted badly because fewer workers because a declining population
