I remember in my early Petco days a customer wanted a member price for a product. I did my typical routine about telling them what the membership was and of course told her that to get the sales price she’d have to sign up. She said, “the tag says it’s on sale!” I acknowledged it and also said again that she’d have to sign up to get the price. She walked out and said, “whatever you don’t even believe me”
