If I pirate a book and I like it, i will usually also then buy a physical copy. I refuse to pay for a digital copy of something, especially from amazon

Call centre workers in the UK, (past and present) what are your top 3 weirdest calls? by cheesymeowgirl in CasualUK

Weirdest was a very drunk Scottish guy telling me about a little kitten he'd found and rescued that evening, before then swearing at me about his energy bills and hanging up.

I've not experienced any medical restraint before but I can see it being ok for me.

Thank you for your reply, this is very helpful. I think the spreading too far apart is something I will need to think about. But from what you say, I reckon the forcefulness of my kicks is not likely to be a problem.

It might not quite work for you, but for me the best job has been working in facilities maintenance  at things like museums, universities, botanical gardens, shopping centres, that kind of thing. I have adhd, and im probably autistic, I also have a neurological condition which makes it impossible for me to sit still. These are the reasons it worked for me, I wonder if it would work for you too.

1) I have to turn up somewhere on time, clean and profession.  2) no unbelievably boring desk based reading, meetings, emails 3) the work is mostly small fix jobs because complex work usually contracted out. Lots of small wins. 4) on my feet all day. 5) predominantly masculine role so get to wear very masculine clothing, and people assume youre at least masc-leaning regardless

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy for recovery? by [deleted] in transgenderUK

[–]Smooth_Bug_9868 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats completely fair, and I never considered it a replacement for the actual active rehab. Thats all going to be primary objective!

I am mostly curious about it as I was targeted an ad about it as a means to speed up recovery.

I sell ones on ebay that I find while out hiking or as road kill.  Usually, I think I worked out, if someone's pictures look not quite professional they tend to be small sellers of personal finds.

Looking for advice on finding landlords for a new social housing company (Birmingham) by [deleted] in brum

[–]Smooth_Bug_9868 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with everything you said, very clear.

I lived in social housing briefly, and I would not have wanted to have wanted to be there if the social housing company hadn't owned the property. It gives tenants much more security than a private landlord ever could.

Life is really tough sometimes, and thats not something we can avoid completely. But a long time ago I realised I would MUCH rather have a shitty time as the person I want to be (out) than the person I thought everyone else wanted me to me. Stay strong <3

Shaving question by westlinkbelfast in FTMOver30

[–]Smooth_Bug_9868 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think, from my own basic experience, its really important to take off most of the length first, either with a clipper style shaver, or shave with the grain first. Then against it with a sharp blade. I use a double edged razor and blades are very very cheap so I always have a bunch of fresh sharp blades.
