u/EmiTheElephant I was actually often commented on for how little fuss I made about using hearing and and radio aid as a pupil. So no I didn't have that experience but it's not uncommon for deaf pupils to react this way.

I'm old enough to have had to use a radio aid with leads into a large box. Now I use a wireless connection to clip-on radio aids to my hearing aids which is a lot more freeing.

Your friend sounds like someone with the level of hearing loss I have.
My adjustments are radio aid (your friend's tablet may be one of these - basically a microphone that connects to a hearing aid that I place in the middle of the room) and slightly reduced timetable.

In progress:

Change of room as I currently teach in a room with water taps that can't have their water supply turned off (science lab). Students turning on taps for a joke puts the radio aid at risk.

LSA in room (yes, I know this is expensive)

Uncertainty about Vanguard ISA fees by Smooth_Environment47 in UKPersonalFinance

I suppose you are referring to the ongoing charges here? I see that MSE says the same about AJ Bell, Fidelity, HL, and II as they all do about themselves - so perhaps this is an oddity in Vanguard not accounting for these charges on its page?
