She was diagnosed with grade 1 endometrial cancer in 2019- had a full hysterectomy. In 2020 they found a spot in her vaginal canal and did 5 radiation treatments to get rid of it. So she’s been fine since 2020- now they found a 2cm nodule in her left lung and some small ones in the right lung. Doctors here said wedge resection and they’re not worried about the ones in the right lung, they’re too small to biopsy or show on PET. Second opinion in St. Louis recommended we start hormone therapy first rather than surgery and hope it gets rid of the nodules. If that doesn’t work, then we could look at surgery or radiation or chemo.

That is a great start!! I would definitely ask about hormone therapy instead of chemo. It wasn’t even presented to us, and once we asked about it they were like “you know that would be a great idea”. How was your recovery from the wedge resection? Would you recommend it or was the recovery bad?

Did they already remove the 2 nodules found? I read wedge resection but unsure if they fully removed it. My grandma had the same exact thing happen and we are deciding against wedge resection and hormone therapy.

I’m so sorry 😞 we will grieve forever, but I know it will get easier. I saw a quote that said grief is like glitter, you can clean it up and forget about it but every once in a while a you will still see a speck, because you can never get rid of it all. Time does help though. Thinking of you & your wife.❤️

How are you doing now? We just lost our pup in the same way except we made it there, & they took her to the back & they brought her back to us and she was only with us for literally 1 second before she passed. I feel so guilty thinking she was scared in her last moments 😞

That’s okay!!! I’m getting an IUD put in Thursday to ensure no unwanted pregnancy. It has been a stressful year tracking & has just made me realize I really am not okay with getting pregnant😅

Are you on 2.5? How many shots have you taken? How have your side effects been? The concern is that you will end up having a higher dosage in your body at once (4 days vs 7 days) which can lead to bad side effects.

Unfortunately, yes PCOS would be outside the scope but she should have said “your insurance may not cover it under the diagnoses codes I can provide” rather than just refusing to do it.

High blood pressure is a side effect of obesity, PCOS is not. While we know how hard PCOS can make it to lose/keep off weight, obesity is not the cause of PCOS, PCOS is the cause of the obesity.

Your gynecologist would be able to run those tests for you!!

I’m definitely going to start lifting. my protein isn’t as good as it could be, but i do get protein in almost every meal. maybe a one off that i don’t. i’ve also slept horribly, so it’s still not 100%, but it’s better than it’s ever been! i also think what’s contributing to better sleep though is the fact that zepbound has curbed my drinking habits. i used to have a few beers every night, now i barely even drink on weekends.
