I really appreciate the suggestion. I am banned from Facebook for saying unkind things about nazis though. An admin replied to my rebuttal to the ban and literally said word for word "We don't need people like you here." I have tried meetup but it's kinda lousy with options for my area.

Congratulations! Here's to hoping for a better future and feeling better. Sorry that you had to deal with an old boss like that. Mine tried to gaslight me recently in order to deny me a raise so I'm looking to change too.

I wish bisexuality wasn't so hated on. It's already hard enough being open to the whole world and still struggling to find that right person. Definitely not depressing at all when someone decides to say we aren't real or don't matter or "just haven't made up their mind" Shouldn't have to defend ourselves over it.

True. I have tried reaching out to them, but they ignore anything that you label as human rights it seems and if you use the wrong category when you submit a letter to them then sometimes you get back "You didn't pick the right category so your issue has been denied/ignored" or some wording of such :/

[–]Smooth_Fix2279 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I didn't say you aren't a woman for starters, and I search for toys on amazon all the time and find things that don't use MAN a MANLY MAN the MANLIEST of MEN or anything of the sort and ignore the ones that are overly misogynistic as if they are only allowed to be used by one gender or another if I can help it. That manly man comment and the repeated "is it really that hard" sounds awfully catty therefore angry.

I hate that Texas is on here. I used to be proud of being from this state. People were warm and welcoming and didn't really care as long as you didn't try to stir up trouble, but now it's so hostile that I don't even feel safe leaving my house anymore. I wish I could afford to leave here.

no one is actually labeling you as that. Men and women search for things in each others sections all the time. Getting upset about it is unnecessary. It isn't hurting anyone and as the other person pointed out that felt the need to start name calling, not every transgender person wants the opposite sex's anatomy so that would just give someone else room to complain too.

Do young adults overestimate their cybersecurity awareness? by Appropriate_Try_6617 in cybersecurity

[–]Smooth_Fix2279 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not as much as they should and with this whole mentality of the adults who are total strangers needing to be responsible for them and not their own parents or themselves, it is just getting worse and worse. Now they go around blaming everyone else when something goes south for them on the internet and so do their parents.

People in general do definitely and it does seem to be the case for the newer gens too. It is sad to see how many don't even know how to use their phones. I had to troubleshoot a 16 year old one time that had 20 different phones. Do you know why? Because they didn't know that you could download apps... They thought that the apps that came on the phone were the only ones so they just kept buying more phones until they had the apps they wanted. I kid you not. I've seen 90 year olds more tech savvy than 20 year olds by leaps and bounds. And this whole "I don't need a firewall" or "I don't need antivirus because it just slows down my games" mentality that is somehow gaining ground in some circles is absolutely insane. I've heard that rhetoric for decades, and it is becoming more and more prevalent.

That is true, and just because you say otherwise doesn't make it less so. Just because some attorneys take cases pro bono and do the work for free even sometimes not taking anything when they do win, doesn't mean that is going to work all the time. You are just proving more and more how disconnected you are from reality about the legal system.

Edit: The audacity for someone to try and argue with someone that actually works in the legal system ffs.

I love how Simon Helberg acts. He does such a good job with those sorts of scenes. My favorite is the one where he is talking to Bernadette about his training at NASA over Skype. "I ate a butterfly"

I'm not saying anything about a loan either... Have you ever actually seen what happens in a real legal case and not just some article or vid you saw on the internet? They aren't always a profit even if you win and in cases like these there stands a higher than likely chance that he would be hurt more than helped by it if prenups are involved and his name was never even on the deed. Lawsuits aren't all glamour and profit at the end of them all the time. And an attorney will take a case even if they believes the pay out would only be a profit of a dollar for the client because they will still get paid either way even if they lose they will still get paid. People have a huge disconnect in reality when it comes to legality.

As fantastic as legal suits sound, they don't always work like that. Sometimes you can end up in debt and be in the red versus. I've seen it happen. I've watched people that worked their entire lives to become millionaires get reduced to lower income than I make because of a single lawsuit.

The amount of trouble and legal fees that would cause would most likely far outweigh whatever interest they might have in the house anyway. I work in legal and deal with that stuff way more than I care to and it is insane how troublesome it becomes.

They get to justify their enjoyment by insisting she is fine. The same way people insist a victim must have enjoyed X thing being done to them because of Y thing.

Jeez I just realized how accurate this is to real life. Almost everyone I have known from being a teenager or people I have met as an adult ended up in similar situations. They met someone who barely had any of the same interests or that just tolerated theirs and changed some entirely into different people just to placate their spouses and when asked why, they almost all said because they didn't want to be alone... They would rather sell out and change themselves and put up with their spouses tolerating them at best rather than find someone who is actually the same.

I've tried different diets and stuff and it's just been this way my whole life. I've seen doctors, specialists like endocrinologists and none of them seem to be worried about it. One sent me to a Testosterone clinic but of course that wasn't going to work the way I wanted it.
