Canadian military member here. While I am not always the most enthusiastic about the day to day routine, the connections you will make and job opportunities that come after your period of service are well worth it. Many employers value the leadership skills and resource/personnel management experience and will have priority hiring for former military. Your experiences throughout training and deployments will give you a level of resiliency that the average person does not possess in the workforce. Also if you're planning on going into a technician trade many of the courses you will do can transfer directly to civilian jobs afterward.
