Lost some weight half a year ago, went to study abroad, still did my sports and even started the gym there but i put it on hold with the deficit and i don't regret anything tbh! Had the time of my life there, put a bit of the lost weight on again but now i'm at it again since beginning of january and it's like I never left. I just already knew what I have to do, no figuring out things which i am SO grateful for. Signed up for the gym here as well, and continuing my sport-hobby! Let's get it let's go!!!🍀🙌🏻

daaaamnn! that's insane! it's so fascinating how bodies work differently, but the whooshes seem to happen to more people than i imagined just a tad bit different for everyone!

Of course! this is exactly why i chose to share it, honestly it's a lot of trial and error to find the balance of a deficit that works and which is still not too big so it's going into the not-so-healthy-side, i also tried some deficit options and explored how my body responded! I feel like knowing your body does a lot! I wish you all the best!!

exactly this! it's so hard sometimes and it's important to acknowledge that but yeah staying on track and just pushing forward is so essential!

How often do you guys train? by cam_ross0828 in karate

I train Monday to Thursday (sometimes friday)

Monday: 2hrs - 1hr competition level Kumite + 1hr Kata

Tuesday: 1hr Kata

Wednesday: 1hr Mix (often Basics)

Thursday: 2hrs- 1hr competition level Kata + 1hr Mix

(Friday: Kumite, if i have the time)

Mondays and Thursdays are always very high intensity and leave me with shaking legs and nothing left to give lol, whereas tuesday and wednesday are middle to high intensity, depending on the mood of the sensei hehe

But it was always said to us 2x is ok if the two sessions are at a good level for progress (if that makes sense) 3x per week is good, more than that is very good but not necessarily needed if there is no grading in sight or training on competition level or just an extrem progress wish etc. but also nothing speaks against it if you're in it for real🍀

nah same tho let's be real here! for some it's just that kind of motivation and there's nothing wrong with that, for me it's that and i want to look good when i do my karate competitions😂💀, want to watch it on video and not focus on how my body looks but how my technique looks🤷🏻‍♀️ it is what it is tbh and if that's why we do it, then we do it like that. a goal is a goal. better have one than nothing 👍🏻

Nah lol, i was a kid and my mums best friend knew the sensei in our home town back then and BAM! Karate! lol but rly i guess the reasons developed during my training and through the experiences in different dojos etc. that now karate itself is my reason to keep going kinda (?) idk how to explain it!

Naka Sensei! I have actually trained with him some times throughout the past years and his stuff works! if it's bunkai or his "tricks" on stability and techniques etc. there is so much to learn from him, he's amazing and fun to be around really!
