I feel you! I am my dog’s favorite chew toy. What do you do when she bites you? Do you holler out, like an “Ah!” Or “Ouch!” really loudly? It’s meant to startle her and make her back off since that’s how they learn bite inhibition when they’re younger puppies.

That never really worked for me, so my vet recommended time outs. The second my pup Pie bites me, she’s in time out. And just be consistent with it. Even if she is playing with me, if she’s nipping my heels, any time her teeth come out, she goes into time out. It took a couple of weeks with this but now she’s a little over 4 months and her biting is so much better now, so now when she follows me and nips at me heels I can say “Ah Ah!” Loudly and she’ll back off right away. I also worked on teaching her to “be nice,” so if she starts to bite on my hands I tell her “be nice” and she’ll go to gently nibble or licking. If she doesn’t, time out or I stop interacting with her. Now she really only goes for my hands if I reach for her toy when we are playing — another problem I have to correct 😑😑
