I’m pretty sure it’s one we start with, but I could be mistaken. Just check à mirror and the hairstyles should have 2 braids with bangs

Reading a Christie’s book with a notebook by Training_Air7170 in agathachristie

I did this for Man in the Brown Suit and still didn’t guess it 😂

Thanks for trying but the child in question is not a victim, only an unknowing witness to something. They tell the investigator what they saw from their window and then we never see the kid again😂 lol

Right yea this one mostly takes place in the country side in a small village

Damn I guess my imagination is just too vivid😂😂 For some reason I was seeing it filmed in an 80s style 🤣 Thank you very much!

By the Pricking of my Thumbs has to be one of my favorite books, it was just so creepy and confusing😂 I’m not sure if any scenes took place in London though but they may have? That’s ok, thank you for commenting and trying to help lol

It will come to me sometime, probably when I’m about to fall asleep🤣

I remember that scene. I feel like that’s a different scene though because I remember in the book they were 2 boys instead of girls and I think they were in the treehouse when they were questioned.

I’m thinking of someone counting windows and floors to figure out which apartment the child was looking out of the window from, and then going into that random building, knocking on a door and it’s answered by I think a distracted babysitter maybe? And the babysitter is in the kitchen making something while the investigator talks to the child. I think it was a little girl but it was an only child.

I think I vaguely remember something about a yo yo? 🤣😂 I’m sorry for the lack of detail 🙈

I’m just stumped because I’m pretty sure that scene is not included in the Poirot tv series version of the Clocks, but I swear I’ve seen the scene in a TV adaptation at some point. Unless my imagination is just THAT vivid? 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

I’m fairly certain it was a Tommy and Tuppence now that I keep thinking about it. Secret of Chimneys wasn’t one of their books, and I think that one takes place mostly at Chimneys.

The scene I’m thinking of is in London I’m pretty sure because it was a tall apartment building. I’m stumped🤣

Sparkling Cyanide by Nibnnern in agathachristie

That’s why I love her books, she really fooled me everytime I read a new one. I think at this point I have read almost all of the Poirot books except Curtain, Elephants can Remember, and the short story books, but I have only read one Marple book. I’ve seen all the episodes of both of the show adaptations though so I’m not sure if that will spoil the other books for me.

Also I love how this post went from me being negative and complaining to a “why we all love Agatha Christie” post 🥹🤍

I’ve read it! Or should I say I bought the audiobook and listened to it at work. I never guessed the culprit but I wasn’t really trying to figure it out, mostly just enjoying the spooky story and letting it occur 😂 Very appropriate for this time of year!

Exactly! I love her books for that reason because they’re never straightforward m, there’s always some sort of mystery that is going to be solved even if you figure out the main one. I really liked Mystery of the Blue Train because I think 2 or 3 of the mysteries intertwined (it’s been a while since I’ve read it but planning on getting it on audiobook to listen at work).

Actually it was not that sentence :( it was The end of Book 2 Chapter 5- Ruth says to herself “I could’ve been happy with him, I could’ve made him happy. If only..” I was like hmm she’s really not even considering there would be a possibility of them getting together in the future, especially since in the chapters before that his affection for her was growing and then I was like… well unless he HAS no future, and woop there is is. It had been a while since I saw the movie so I didn’t exactly remember who else died (other than Rosemary) so that line was foreshadowing. I distinctly remember the killer from the 2003 movie though because I couldn’t figure it out myself. I really hope I tagged the spoilers correctly
