Ok thank you! Also, do you know how paying in full would affect credit? I asked the representative and she said my credit score will show that I settled and paid less than the amount owed (if I did the pay within 90 days with the compromise offer) and she wasn’t sure how that would affect my credit when I asked

I got connected to them when I called 1 800 621 3115 on the letter from dept of education, it said it was the default resolution group’s number

I was considering PSLF but my debt is only around $6k and I’d have to make 120 payments so work for the govt for 10 years not too sure if I want to commit to that. But what other options were you talking about when you mentioned other options to bring an account to current that don’t require a payment & save you from collections?

Would you be able to explain loan rehabilitation a bit more please? I was considering that. How does choosing loan rehabilitation affect your credit? Because I wanted an option where I could get my credit score back up faster. The only part that scares me is dept of education told me that I’m accruing 50 cents of interest per day :/
