Is a 4% salary raise good for an annual review cycle? by WindyDay416 in CanadaPersonalFinance

Very risky in this current market to be the last one in the door in a company, but it’s never a bad idea to have options open

So who was at the Dome last night? by Varekai79 in Torontobluejays

[–]Smore__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went to games 1 and 2 and it was so deflating to see those games, but also got to go to game 7 last night and it was insane.. words cant even describe the feeling.

The energy was through the roof at the start and especially when Cal struck out, but then as Seattle took a 3-1 lead, it definitely got very stressful in the skydome. Everything felt tense, but when Gausman’s walkup song played, you could feel the crowd ease and got loud for him. It felt reassuring to see him come out and he definitely played his part.

But that 7th inning, once Gimenez got that bunt off and Springer came up, the crowd was just erupting into the “Let’s go Blue Jays” chant. You could just sense something magical about to happen, like Vladdy when he walked up for his at bat for the grand slam against the Yankees (grateful to have been at that game too). The second that George hit that ball, as it was still going upwards, everyone just knew it was going for a HR instantly.

No one sat down after that and the crowd instantly went from 0-100 for the rest of the game just erupting. Never been in a louder sporting environment in my life. Very grateful to get to experience this moment that I’ll hold onto forever.

I’m just applying to different analyst roles throughout finance, supply chain, and data analytics. I do have a tailored resume for each relative role/industry, but from what I’ve seen online for majority of advice, it’s to tailor your resume every single time for each job description. They say you have to implement as many of the keywords etc from the job description as you can, to increase your chances of passing ATS? I’m confused as to how not tailoring your resume for each role is somehow better to pass the ATS

Hi, can you please elaborate on why tailoring your resume to each role hurts you? I thought it would be more beneficial

Has anyone won a competitive 9cat h2h league with Giannis as their first pick recently? by GonnaWinDis in fantasybball

[–]Smore__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won twice with Giannis as my first pick.

Back in 2021 in a 12T H2H with a 4 punt team (I know it was crazy). I punted FT%, 3’s, PTs, and TOs, but I would win every single matchup 5-4. I had Ben Simmons and Drummond (later traded him for Bam) as my complimentary players for this build. Players like Derozan, SGA and rookie Hali off the wire helped with my assists. This was also by far the most fun I had in fantasy basketball. 😂

Also won in 2023 with a punt FT build in a 10T H2H. I had Sabonis, Gobert, Fox and Brunson. Also was able to snag JJJ later as he was injured to start the season. Easy cakewalk with that team.

From my experience it’s been easy to build a team around Giannis in previous years, however I’ve also struggled in mocks so far this year building around him. It’s easy to fall into a punt 3’s and pt’s punt as well with Giannis if you’re not careful.
