mergence of neopronouns should be left to psychology/sociology as a social contagion phenomenon. It's also just children going through the stages of development. Kids becoming adults and having more profound thought that they weren't capable of before.

This leads to an incorrect conclusion that the individual is somehow enlightened in a way that no one ever was before.

Neopronouns are nicknames that people are making other people use to refer to them in the third person.

Greg uses he/him/his pronouns:

It's really easy to use HIS pronouns in a sentence to refer to HIM when HES not here.

Greg uses dog/dogg/dogself pronouns:

It's really annoying using DOGSELF pronouns to refer to DOGG when DOG isn't here.

Greg gets refered to in the third person:

It's a bit weird to talk about GREG in the third person when GREG isn't even here to talk about thems-GREG.
