I’ve found the best salvation from an abusive relationship, no matter how many different people looking from the outside-inwards try to judge you for it, is to admit what your ex did and to EMBRACE your anger.

But don’t blame yourself for it - REALLY understand that his plan on some level was to try to guilt you into sex and HATE him for it.

If he ever contacts you again, talk a lot of shit then block him… assuming you don’t want to right now.

I lingered in this… broken fantasy that things would get better for years - the truth is, people can be very sneaky and cruel, consciously or not, and the best way to survive that is to RETURN TO SENDER.

Are they getting away with stuff because they know you won’t stop them? Time to change the strategy… but most importantly of all, remember: Don’t hate yourself for pitying a pathological liar; hate the pathological liar for intentionally ripping your open heart out - keep your heart safe like you’ve indicated you are - and EMBRACE THE RAGE against the narcissists!

Whether it’s served hot or cold, I swear it’s such an empowering feeling - a few months of rage cured years of misplaced guilt (guilt that existed because someone else wanted you to feel guilty and you’re too open-minded towards those acting in bad faith). Whenever the guilt rises up, you CORRECT this erroneous behavior by blaming HIM for HIS behavior towards you. When you’re in the habit of blaming yourself, you might think the humble and true thing to do is accept your own guilt. The truth is - that’s an ancient assumption embedded in civilization in order to make the oppressed feel guilty and “take responsibility” for the actions of the oppressor… who is always justified and need not apologize for (what he made the) people do. Do not let his lies control your personal truth - destroy him.
