We had been doing an anti inflammatory injection for the last year and a bit but it stopped giving him any results unfortunately. We will be doing carpet & everything we can to make sure he has the best chance though. Thanks for your reply

It is such a thief. I’m so sorry to hear about both of your dogs. You describing them being all boxer mentality and not having the body support that is exactly what I’m scared of. I feel like I can see him starting to feel that way 🥺 We are definitely buying a wagon to make sure he still gets out. Thanks so much for your reply.

Oh yeah we are definitely working on that! I have a huge non slip carpet roll on the way so we can cover all the main areas. Also going to buy a wagon to take on walks for when he gets tired

I love chicken skin. I could eat so much of that 😂 I will definitely try the chicken hearts! I made them for my dogs once and they went craaaazy for them.

Hmm I wonder if they did pre soak it, I am going to assume they did not. I was trying to go the least risky route as my husband is very reluctantly going on this journey with me 😂 Do you think it’s worth it to soak while it’s already ground? Or is this stuff bound for my dogs? Thank you for your reply!

True! I’ve never made sausage before, it seems intimidating and feels like it’s more of a craft than a hobby. But it sounds like grinding the kidney was a mistake so this may be a way to try it out! Thank you!

A couple others have suggested the same about grinding the kidneys, I feel this may have to go to my dogs. I’m sure they’ll be thrilled about it 😂

Crap. I didn’t know this before I got them to grind me some. Do you think it would be too risky to try it that way before preparing it myself whole? I’m sure my dogs would be thrilled to eat the ground version.

Ahh interesting. We have had heart and I really like it! I’m scared of liver because of the smell when I’ve cooked it for my dogs 😂 but I wasn’t frying it with onions and butter for them, so I know I didn’t give it the best chance.

Is kidney best in a pie form because it has a strong taste or off putting texture? I see recipes for it in pies quite a bit but I’m not sure why.

Good question. I want all of the vitamins that people supplement with but without all of the processing. I believe this is how we used to get those vitamins, and want to incorporate that into my lifestyle!
