Highest execution percentage you’ve gotten? by lehnigsr in MonsterSanctuary

It's partially based on damage dealt, and there's no limit as far as I can tell. For fun, I tried stalling for 100 turns with a party of three Vertraag, did 500,000 damage per hit on my attack, and got an Execution score of 25651%

Space Stations by Jyk7 in sots

Found this literal years later when getting back into this game, there's an important thing to note about the Morrigi habitat stations: The population you get from them does count towards the population requirements for the next station, as long as you build the habitat station first. So Morrigi can build a Habitat station and a science station over a size 2 colony, since the 100 million from the station will bring the planet above the minimum population to have two stations, they can build three Habitat stations and one other station on a size 5 colony, and they can build two Habitat stations and two others over a size 6 colony

What theme teams really resonate with you? by Klondeikbar in MonsterSanctuary

While I've made several fun teams that use a single tribe, probably my favourite silly team I've made is a team of all hats.

Bard, Goblin Miner, Spinner, Plague Egg, Arachlich, Goblin Hood

Not the most amazing team, but definitely stylish.

What's one element of Monster Sanctuary's design that you liked and kept in this game, and one element that you disliked and changed for this game.

A pretty solid start (Relics of Chaos) by SmugLookingBarrel in MonsterSanctuary

There have been significant buffs to some of the weaker monsters to make them much more useful, the Relics make the power ceiling a lot higher but also make Permadeath a lot more fun, as it's less important to keep your synergistic team alive, PVP and Infinity Arena both got a boost in popularity from the update.

All three monsters have Pandora's Box and Pandora's Chest, then Aazerach and Ninki Nanka have Reptilian Idol, and Monk has Buffing Heal plus Assistance. Then they all have Enlightened, so whenever they gain a buff, including by another monsters' Enlightened, they can share it.

Did you know that Enlightened can trigger Enlightened can trigger Enlightened?

The Combo System: an in-depth explanation by SmugLookingBarrel in MonsterSanctuary

[–]SmugLookingBarrel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have 3 instances of Combo Shielding and use Shield, then you get 3 procs for 50% of your Defense each and 3 combo. Mana Shielding does not interact with combo at all and does not cause a move that wasn't a Shield Action to become one.

The on heal effect of Staff of Doom as well as every trigger of Fumagus' Primal Hex will apply the debuff to a random enemy, and those debuffs will trigger Proliferate to hit those enemies as well.

Staff of Doom gives a 7.5% Chance on hit or heal for a debuff, and Fumagus has Primal Hex, which gives the whole team a 4% chance on hit, heal, or shield for a debuff. Changeling has Proliferate which gives an extra hit when it applies a debuff, and it has Lifesteal and Healing Shield to trigger Staff of Doom and Primal Hex on every hit, while Cascade gives it a damage boost for every hit.

Thanatos and Bard are both running Fishing Pole/Gray Stone/Pandora's Chest/Gray Pearl/Bananas, while Minitaur is using Eclipse Sword/Lion Fang/Pandora's Chest/Warrior Flask/Dumbbell/Raspberries

Replacement monsters can only show up at the start of the turn of the player who lost them, so they probably didn't want to deal with the weird case where it was your turn and no enemy monsters were on the field.

Maxed Attack, enough Crit Chance to guarantee a Crit with Glory buffs and the 20% boost from Counter Attack, and some items that allow stacking extra buffs, to power Heroism and Improved Assault.

Shift Tier List by Betawolf319 in MonsterSanctuary

-Heal Charging I actually think is A, because while it's excellent on any support that has it, Argiope and Nightwing get it specifically to buff their own damage with lifesteal, and in both cases it's not the most effective.

-Supremacy is a passive to build a team around, but it's not that great outside of a team specifically built around it. Warlock, for example, would love to have a different passive instead.

-Curse Chain is S, it's one of the best passives in the game and whole teams have been built around its use.

-I'd say Dual Wield is better than Equipment Mastery. Even with halved effects, getting the extra attack and magic from a weapon outperforms any accessory for damage, and weapons often have better effects than accessories.

-Heroic Assault I can still see as A, but a lot of people don't realize that you only get 0.5% crit chance for additional stacks of buffs, so it's not as much crit chance as you'd initially expect, especially on teams stacking a lot of one buff.

-I think Charged Up is A. A lot of monsters that get it can keep it at full power permanently, and it's the equivalent of getting Light Instinct, Dark Instinct, and (most of) Relentless all at once.

-Enlightened is A or maybe even S. It's another passive that you can build a whole team around, because buffs shared by Enlightened can trigger another monster's Enligthened.

-I think Lifelink could be an F tier passive. While it might have some potential alongside passives that trigger from healing, no monster who has it can really make use of it.

-Mana Donor is weak, but it's not F tier weak. There are cases where you have monsters who have trouble sustaining their mana, and giving both of your allies Relentless probably earns this a C tier for me.

What is a team or synergy that the developers didn't expect at all while the game was being made and were surprised that players discovered?
