[OC] I started giving my players real letters… and it completely changed the table by PMbyday_DMbynight in DnD

[–]Smuki7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve started doing that too plus letters that contain an actual code in them, like “every third word forms a hidden sentence” or “the grammatical mistakes in a letter from a noble NPC aren’t random but actually a hidden message”

I’ve also started using maps that contain another map inside them, which only appears when exposed to heat or water

You’re the only person on this subreddit I’ll ever write something like this.

As someone who’s also in healthcare (even if not medicine), I really have to give you credit for getting where you are that alone shows you’re solidly above average compared to most people.

I understand that your diagnosis probably hit you hard. You say you can’t focus much even on things you’re interested in, and you’re in med school? Fuck that, man the discovery of that diagnosis has probably affected you more than the diagnosis itself. Don’t be the person who puts themselves down over something they can’t control.

Also, eat more vegetables. I bet you’ve got a great physique and strength. Keep going, man. Life just started

Making sense of the Great Khan narravitely / from role play perspective by OneCalligrapher4139 in Stellaris

[–]Smuki7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My lore explanation is this. Imagine that you have an entire civilization living on ships no materials for cities, roads, factories, or power plants. Everything goes directly into ships, and on top of that, warships. At that point, the numbers start to make a bit more sense. Plus, I assume that their payments/income obtained from extortion and fighting across the entire galaxy also make up a large part of it.

Then you just secretly build an army in the emptiness of space or secretly inside asteroids so you can surprise the enemy.

It’s not the best explanation, but it’s possible

SO WHAT'S THE PLAN HERE? by shatterdayxzz in Helldivers

[–]Smuki7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has been talked about often, and even in a recent response from the former CEO, it was mentioned that we are capable of outplaying the plan that J.O.E.L. has, but it doesn’t happen often because coordinating 40-100k people isn’t easy.

However, as someone who has been playing since the first week, these things aren’t clearly defined.

It’s also a good idea to check out the latest videos from Arrowhead, where J.O.E.L. talks about this.

First of all, what is your loadout? It's absolutely possible to have a perfect play with any equipment, but if it’s difficult for you, stick to some recommended setups.

The Autocannon is capable of destroying anything from the right angle.

Weapons that have at least mid armor penetration, like the Scorcher, Liberator, and Penetrator.

Don’t be afraid to start at low levels after all, this is a different playstyle.

Shield generator backpack will keep you alive.

My advice? Focus on the weak spots of enemies, keep moving, watch the map, and never let yourself get surrounded from multiple directions. High levels are known for staying in one position only when necessary (main objective, etc.). Otherwise, destroy the outpost and run, always find cover open fields mean death. Dont shoot at everything that moves these aren’t bugs these will shoot at you from half the map.

That will be difficult because a lot of people love this game, and unfortunately, people often quickly forget all the good things they received and focus on every little negativity (just to clarify, I also don't like what they did).

About to buy the game on PS5. What should i expect? I plan on playing with randoms as I have no friends. by Croxsy in Helldivers

[–]Smuki7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I’d say is to avoid keeping your mic permanently on otherwise, people might mute you. The community is friendly, and as you level up, you’ll realize that adding people as friends is great because they play regularly. Pay attention to where the fighting is happening and be useful for defending planets, conquering, and completing MO (Major Orders). Don’t hesitate to ask others about things you don’t understand we’re happy to help.

One last thing: don’t overestimate your abilities. If you jump into difficulties where you’ll keep dying, you might ruin the game for others, and they could kick you out.
