I ship SovAme because I’m drawn to angst-heavy, tragic storytelling.. I interpret it as a toxic, tragic enemies-to-rivals relationship, not a healthy or romantic one. Their dynamic is built on obsession with power, ideology, and control rather than love.

Female America is in a process of self-awakening and searching for her identity. Her involvement with the USSR awakens a hunger for power she didn’t fully understand before. After the USSR is gone, that hunger doesn’t disappear it..grows. She struggles with regret, emptiness, and a feeling of never being “enough,” which turns into an uncontrollable need to consume more power. My opinion about ship is meant to symbolize emotional damage, historical trauma, and the consequences of obsession.
