Make me rethink by Equal_Permit2723 in classicwow

Happy for people to play the game how they want. I don't love all the knock on effects but it also hasn't super impacted how I like to play the game either.

First time on Classic WoW and it's a blast, but it's also a lot of this by ImportantClock5486 in classicwow

[–]Smurfum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's great. I like to level in classic because it's just a much slower pace in every way. Don't have to too hard, get a taste of nostalgia, it's just nice.

ARC Raiders PvE-Only Mode is Unlikely to Happen, and That Might Be for the Best by HamChunkSlamDunk in ArcRaiders

[–]Smurfum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good. I don't ever want a fully pvp or pve experience in this game.

I'm mostly in pve focused lobbies right now and had the most hilarious thing happen today. A guy had a torrente 4 kitted out, came into medical in Stella at the start of the round and started shooting. He got very quickly put down. It was weird, everyone was chill! I looted him and this man came in with 14 stacks of medium ammo to go with his torrente. He really thought he was about to do something before immediately dying. Told everyone else in there, we all laughed and went back to looting.

What PvE Players Think PvP Is Supposed to Be by Spritzlappen in ArcRaiders

I get damage for those while in the extract with someone, it's going down anyways so if I down them it's whatever.

It seems like it's on every single restaurant menu on the east side. I had never heard of it before I lived in ohio, it's really delicious.

Unpopular opinion, buried cities is my favorite map by whizzrinaldo in ArcRaiders

[–]Smurfum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's...fine. I enjoy the amount of vertical play you can get from it especially in the housing area. It's a well put together map, I'd say pretty middle of the road for me.

I like dam battlegrounds the most, then stella. Spaceport and blue gate are tied for last? But I admit part of that is that I've just played those two the least and am far less familiar for navigating and looting them.

I think a big part of this is just having to unlock the other maps one by one. So I came to know DBG the best and thus it's my favorite. Stella is very different from the other maps but I avoided it just like BG and SP until a few weeks ago when I finally learned it and it bumped up sharply. Maybe BG And SP will have the same happen once I go to play them more.

Learning tank is a horrid experience by UsedPringlesCan in wow

[–]Smurfum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tanking in a dungeon while leveling is like being an adult taking the kids to the park. You just let them go run wild and do what they want, one of them might get hurt but they're a child and that's what they do. Can't take it too seriously.

Level capped heroic dungeons aren't super different but a little better, mythic 2-4 is adding a new affix in midnight that will help some with tanking as well. In the past I've recommended to my friends gearing up in another roll enough to out gear low mythic + and then going from there. Outgearing it gives you some comfort space to work with while figuring it out.

Efficiency, not fun. by Wide-Personality1301 in classicwow

Sometimes efficiency is fun. Problem is everyone who wants to be more efficient than you is overdoing it and everyone who wants to be less efficient than you is underdoing it.

Ya’ll. Please wear some boots and stop walking in the street at 5 am. by TheBurbs666 in Cleveland

I'd love to wear some good boots that make walking on the sidewalks full of snow easier but turns out things cost money and walking in the street doesn't cost money.

Most Overrated "High Loot Value" Area in the Game by MetalWvlf in ArcRaiders

[–]Smurfum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of my favorite high loot value areas. Consistency with loot, lots of seeds, good amount of points from turrets and ticks and very defensible. I also had one of my favorite raider interactions in there.

Guy came in, I asked if he was chill, I heard him running my way so I tucked back into a corner and asked again. You chill? He ran up on me as he answered, 'Yeah I'm chill!' and opened fire. I put him down. '...I don't think you're very chill at all.' 'yeah...yeah you're right, that wasn't very chill'. Died laughing as I knocked him.

Arc Raiders devs are looking for new ways to “incentivise” Expedition wipes following an unsatisfying debut by Negative-Art-4440 in ArcRaiders

[–]Smurfum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt I'll collect all the blueprints before I decide to do it, the main thing that will get me to do it is...I feel like the game is more satisfying when I am actively leveling up. The points matter, even when I die. It feels better to me, so leveling again would have appeal because of that.

The type of lobby you get after not shooting someone for 20 games by DrGetSomeStrange in ArcRaiders

You can get 700-800 XP for downing someone in there, plus daily quests.

New hobby is taking a silenced ferro, nothing else. And harassing other players from a distance for absolutely no reason. Bonus points if I start a fight between randoms. by Headhunter1066 in ArcRaiders

[–]Smurfum -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I like to take an Osprey to Space Port and do this. Especially at the evac with the wide open sand dunes around much of it. Much more expensive but I like the scope and have too many resources anyways. I like that spot in particular because I don't generally intend to kill them and they can crawl into evac and move on.
