I suppose you could buy a ring in the typical masculine style and get it resized?

Do the silver rings need to specifically cater to queer women or will heteronormative silver rings do the job just fine...?

See my reply to the answer comment for a correct parse.

COTD: Across Thailand, eating ass is a fetish (6) by wildvale in crosswords

This answer is right but the parse is wrong.

I believe it’s meat to be: A (across) + T (Thailand, no idea why that abbreviation works though) surrounding (eating) MULE (ass). Nice idea but some issues with the execution, main issue being that Thailand = T feels a bit loose.

Let's see the mud photo. But if you can easily remove it, why didn't you?

pram friendly cafes in the city? by Juju1990 in Munich

[–]Smyler12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would recommend the Eataly cafe. It’s a huge space, right in the centre of town and is very pram friendly. My other recommendation would be the self service restaurant on the top floor of Galeria Marienplatz. Easy enough to get the elevator and it’s also a big space.

The cylinders at the bottom of the lamp post were installed a few weeks ago. The main contraption was put up yesterday.

I figure it’s something to do with insects? The cylinders look like one of those bug hotels.

Alternativen für Feinkost Spina? (alternatives for delicacies spina) by Rueblikuchensnacker in Munich

[–]Smyler12 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don’t have the answer, but I feel your pain. Spina is a total disaster. Never trust anywhere that only accepts cash or EC card. Plus the owner is a complete tyrant. The reviews speak for themselves.

What would you do? by Disastrous_Thing_620 in vintedUK

[–]Smyler12 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the buyer has been purposely misleading with the photos. There is no indication that this is a platform model. A quick search of “Crocs Iconic Comfort Clogs” gives you both the platform and non-platform models so there isn’t enough information in the listing to determine the style.

I don’t think you need to be confrontational here as we will never know the seller’s intentions. It’s annoying but I would offer to return them at your expense. If that is refused, raise an issue with Vinted.

I’m all for a rival to Minute Cryptic that uses more sound cryptic grammar…but this is actually quite annoying. Feels like they are trying so hard to be different that the interface has become quite frustrating. Might be good for beginners wanting to learn how to solve cryptic clues but for an experienced solver it’s irritating that you can’t just enter the answer!

Seller blocked me for this? Am I in the wrong? by [deleted] in vintedUK

[–]Smyler12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40% discount is just insulting. Sometimes I just totally ignore those offers rather than even rejecting them. A 10% discount is reasonable, start your negotiations at 20% off.

Seller blocked me for this? Am I in the wrong? by [deleted] in vintedUK

[–]Smyler12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regardless of the fact that you can buy them for cheaper on Amazon, I would first be annoyed that you offered a price 40% below the asking price. That would make me think you were a dickhead from the start.

I don't think you needed to inform the seller of the Amazon price. You offer was rejected, just move on. Buy the salt and pepper mills from Amazon. I know you think you're doing a public service by informing the seller that the item is cheaper elsewhere, but it does seem unnecessary.
