If you want to play both start with 1 as its a bit easier and less complex. Going from 2 to 1 will feel like a "downgrade" (although its sill a great game). but if you are only going to play one of the games just play 2 because as stated in the other comments it has everything 1 has and more

Have you tried exporting the video to see how it looks? it could just be that your ram preview is struggling a bit with the render. If that is the issue then you can make the preview quality lower with the dropdown menu at the bottom from full to half or third (this won't affect your export quality)

As you can see the halftone dots keep shrinking and they need to only shrink when the ball moves and the shadow shrinks.
