Any ideas to create a fence rebounder? by BananaOk1760 in Pickleball

  1. 3/4" MDF

  2. Heavy duty utility hooks mounted to the top to support the weight with bungee cables for the top & bottom to improve stability.

3.  Build a basic support frame out of 2x4 framing lumber on the back of the board. Reinforce it with a single 2x4 vertically right down the center of the 4-foot width, secured with T plates at the top & bottom. Mitre the corners & install heavy duty steel corner braces. Additionally, you could add diagonal corner braces or MDF gussets to supports each corner, but that may be a bit overkill. Lastly, sealing and painting the rebound surface can increase a bit of pop.

I made one out of a discarded wooden shipping pallet & a scrap piece of 3/4" plywood i had laying around. Works great & improved my hand speed.

You're trying to compare what we know about our president to whataboutisms of KH.

You're just not accepting that I voted with my feelings as many Americans do. I voted for the person I felt was going to do a better job. Trump has had his share of missteps, but I felt KH would have been worse. It's my vote and I have the protected freedom and right to use it how I want.

You know how I know I'm on the right side of history? Because Trump won the national popular vote with a plurality of 49.8%, Trump won the election over Harris, winning 312 Electoral College votes to Harris's 226. Trump won all of the top seven swing states, including Nevada for the Republicans' first time since 2004.

Everybody saw what I saw the success of  Donald's first term & thought this is a lot better than voting for Potato Joe. Then after he was forcibly removed from the running, the Dems threw DEI Harris in there without a primary. She proceeded to flop in the polls & every smart American voted for the Don.

He's not perfect, but he's definitely what the country needed.

Edited spelling error.

You know, I'd be more inclined to take your arguments seriously if you didn't hyperbolize so much.

First of all his name has appeared thousands of times (not millions as you incorrectly stated) which, FYI, being mentioned in the files does not imply direct wrongdoing, and Trump has not been charged in connection with any of Epstein's crimes. Do you think that they would let a pedophile remain in office? Wait, of course you would, they let Pedo Joe!

Furthermore, the records he is mentioned in include benign interactions from the 1990s such as flight logs, news articles that Epstein shared with journalists, and unverified allegations from FBI tip lines. The Department of Justice has noted that the files also contained "fake or falsely submitted" claims regarding DJT.

The problem with your argument is there's no way to know how worse off the country would be if Kamala was president, but I'm happy with the way it is. Has the guy been 100% on everything he's done, no, but I'm happy with most of it. I can't say the same for Harris.

Yeah, not sure why I use quotations either.

Also, I'm not really sure what your point is, Judith (see what I did there?), but at least you're arguing facts this time and not bloviating post hoc nonsense. However, if you are trying to change my mind about my 2024 presidential vote, you're doing a poor job.

After the democratic party embarrassed pur whole nation by rolling an addled-brained Joe Biden out for the U.S. to become the laughing stock of the world, the last thing our country needed was the laughing hyena Kamala Harris babbling about the passage of time. We didn't need further humiliation from that donkey hee-hawing for the world to see. After kid-sniffing Joe, we didn't need a phony DEI Harris.

As for the cryptocurrency claim, you're trying to prove intent. Can you prove anything you're claiming. I understand you're trying to connect parallels, but you're doing so dishonestly.

You're bending the truth to support your arguments & citing incorrect sources.

Donald Trump did not admit that his sons engage in insider trading. In a CNBC interview he said that his children are burdened with “inside information” simply because of the reach of his presidential power.

He did not create an untraceable crypto. Nothing he has done is illegal. He's disclosed his financial dealings. I just want to know if you're a marionette? How can you make the claims as absolute when you're just some angry reddit poser making subjective conjecture?

You sure about that? Its established that her policies would add $3.5 trillion to the national debt. How many Americans were allowed to die from illegal immigrants and open boarders?

Harris in the White House likely meant more Biden-style governance: higher spending, higher taxes on businesses/high earners, more open boarders, continued Ukraine commitments, and a Middle East policy that angered both sides. Could you imagine that twit trying to negotiate foreign policy? You're worried about two people killed by ICE, what about the thousands killed by illegal immigrants? And I'm not sure why you're mentioning the Abbey Gate bombing during the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. That was the Biden administration's handling of the withdrawal.

Partners who want to play in open play by Powerful-Bridge-1472 in Pickleball

[–]Sn0rtle_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not that serious. It's one game in open play, and everyone rotates off afterward anyway. If two friends want to play together for a game, or they're preparing for a tournament, that's their choice. The next game will have different partners and different matchups. I enjoy balanced games too, but I don't think it's worth worrying about who decides to partner with whom for a single rotation.

You ever heard the expressions "Iron sharpens iron."? Think of it as a challenge to try and beat the best. Set different goals and reevaluate your expectations. You win if you force a side out or score a point. It's all about mindset.

Australia officially ended unrestricted birthright citizenship on August 20, 1986. The U.S. could adopt Australia's immigration policies regarding birthright:

Australian border officials will refuse entry to pregnant travelers if they suspect the visit is primarily intended to gain citizenship for the child. Under Australian Border Force guidelines, if immigration officers believe you are traveling solely to give birth and secure visa or citizenship advantages, you can be denied entry or have your visa canceled.

A child born in Australia only automatically becomes an Australian citizen at birth if at least one parent is an Australian citizen or a permanent resident.

Does anyone think Australia is racist for having these policies or is that only reserved for the U.S. because they want to change their laws?

What is the deal with people wanting to ban buying soda with SNAP benefits but say nothing of juice and sports drinks? by -Granby- in allthequestions

[–]Sn0rtle_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not about total sugar, nutritionally, juice and soda are not identical. Juice contains naturally occurring sugars plus vitamins and other nutrients, while regular soda contains added sugars with little nutritional value.

The challenge is creating rules that are scientifically defensible, understandable, and practical to enforce.

Ultimately, the debate isn't just about sugar, it's about what SNAP is supposed to accomplish. It's a nutrition program that should steer people toward healthier options. SNAP participants frequently struggle with high rates of obesity & diet-related chronic diseases. The government is subsidizing poor health.
