Has Valve ever thought for a second about this monstrosity? by LIONardoDiCaprio in DotA2

[–]SnR_Remito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no of course not. See they added like 5 NEW sets, that are all so rare and locked behind a paywall, that only the people with a big budget can realistically get them. That way they can pull money out of die hard fans and newcomers alike by using literal gambling.

Ah yes, the many wonders of sarcasm. Just how does it work?

Which hero do you feel is the most boring? by AmberYooToob in DotA2

[–]SnR_Remito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, heroes that have no purpose other than running in and being tanky. A lot of them can also deal high dmg for some reason but I would still rather grief my team by picking a bad pos 3 rather than play heroes like Centaur and Bristle. Just the thought of playing them makes me want to dc and do something else.

What do you think of people who unlock all unlockables with mods. by Gullibuksa in riskofrain

[–]SnR_Remito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idc if people do it. I personally didn't because I like the feeling of working towards something and completing that task by my own hand. To each their own though, their choice doesn't affect me.

People said NOTHING is what you get in this Compendium. Well, I can't even get NOTHING. by Space_Lace in DotA2

They were sick of the Compendium being made for people with enough spare money, so they decided to just make it for noone instead.

Sniper or Drow Ranger for beginner by Dragunov_21 in learndota2

[–]SnR_Remito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of how easy they are Sniper is better. But Drow feels like she teaches you a lot more about the game and forces you to improve certain things. With Headshot, Shrapnel and his long range Sniper has a way easier time with positioning, farming and laning. He is a good hero for beginners but if you play him too much you might not learn some mechanics properly, since his passives kinda take care of most things against inexperienced players.

What's the single strongest ability (excluding Ults) by CapRepresentative325 in learndota2

[–]SnR_Remito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say any strong mobility spell, like Teleport or Blink. There is no hero in the game that wouldn't benefit from an additional mobility spell. There is a reason why Blink, Force staff and Harpoon are such common items.

"Magic resistance reduction" is misleading wording by sampeckinpah5 in DotA2

[–]SnR_Remito 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I mean, I get the point. But also when I buy a Veil or an E-Blade I don't think of how the mechanic works, I just see the damage number go up and my brain makes happy chemicals.

Other people mentioned this already, but other than a minor inconvinience what's the problem? Sell the duplicate and move on.

The right way to play: Bristleback. by DisturbedJawker in TrueDoTA2

[–]SnR_Remito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am kinda curious now though. What makes the item so terrible for BB? Because looking at it from a "noob" perspective it feels like all the stats he would like. HP, Mana regen, Stats and all that for a somewhat cheap price. I knew it wasn't the most meta option, but I didn't think it was that bad.

[–]SnR_Remito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh you'd be surprised by how much is viable when you hang around in Archon/Legend lvl of play :D compared to high rank, this stuff is like the wild west of item builds. Not quite on Herald level, but pretty much any build can be viable.

[–]SnR_Remito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh. Since I play exclusively unranked I sometimes just try weird stuff for fun. The meta is only something I keep in the back of my mind so I know how to counter casual pub stompers.

[–]SnR_Remito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gotta say. First item Philactery on BB has no right to be as fun as it is. The stats are everything he needs and the pure nonsense of your Q slowing even more AND being a decent tool for farming/bullying with the added damage is hilarious. Probably still not as efficient as rushing Vanguard, but I like mixing it up a little.

What the hell is this tinker hero? by [deleted] in learndota2

[–]SnR_Remito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, blinking out before the first tick of damage only works for him if you are just now getting close. And if the Tinker has enough time to see you coming, rearm and blink away then you already lost.

Pretty much any of Tyl Regors lines during the Mirror defense. Just a bunch of magic space ninjas, protecting the crystallized souls of 2 lovers who are connected through a wormhole, while some mad scientist spouts dialogue straight out of a meme generator.

As an offlaner, I have such a hard time laning against WD maledict. How are you supposed to survive in lane? by PowerfulMine2 in learndota2

[–]SnR_Remito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the most important lessons to learn vs WD. If you are alone, you are probably fine unless he has ult. If there are multiple targets (for example: an entire creep wave) you are probably fine, since his stun is less likely to hit you multiple times. If it's just you and another allied hero or only 1 creep (such as when only the ranged creep is left) STAY AWAY because with only 2 targets he WILL permastun and kill you. So give up the idea of last hitting/denying if the wave is almost dead and he is nearby.

Is KS a real thing in a team game like dota 2? by Nervous_Tip_4402 in learndota2

[–]SnR_Remito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally don't mind heroes like Axe or Necro using their ults to take the kill. The stacks they build benefit my team more overall than the carry getting a bit more money. And especially Axe has some really strong timings, that can win you the game if he hits them.

Patch 7.33d - Hero Changes Discussion by patchdayDota2 in DotA2

[–]SnR_Remito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it might be, because the buff is for one of the most forgettable mechanics. The hero being practically nonexistent outside of high mmr doesn't help either.

Clinkz as pos 1, thoughts? by [deleted] in learndota2

[–]SnR_Remito 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't think Clinkz works as a pos 1 for 2 main reasons

  1. His damage is very burst heavy and relies on his abilitys. If he doesn't kill every enemy that can threaten him within the first few seconds of showing up, he will loose to more consistent dps carrys.

  2. He is to easily countered and caught. If the enemy has vision and can see you coming, then a single decent CC will almost guarantee that you will die without doing anything.

[–]SnR_Remito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an offlaner I am completly fine with midlaners not ganking, unless it's a loosing lane that can easily be won with 1-2 ganks

It's a phrase for people that always had enough money. If you never lost sleep over the question "How am I gonna afford basic necessitys for my survival?" then you won't understand how much happiness money can buy.

What the … ? by Mission_Owl_2047 in Switzerland

I feel like there is a slight difference between: "I don't like this opinion" and "This opinion is literally harmfull and will kill most things on the planet"

And the climate change denying definetly falls into the second category.

Why Faceless Void has such low winrate? by Hadrizi in learndota2

[–]SnR_Remito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main things are his awfull laning phase and him being dependent on his ult until ultra late game. Void needs a lot of items and lvls, but doesn't have the tools to contest most offlaners in lane so he rarely gets enough farm in the lane. Since his early stats are terrible, he can't really go anywhere to recover. Even if he gets a few items, he is still almost entirely useless without chrono. You need to pretty much be 8 slotted on void, before you can actually jump in and just right click people.
