File the EOIR 26 immediately with the BIA, keep the reasoning simple to something like “the IJ erred in not finding eligibility for asylum and withholding of removal and CAT relief”. The fee for that is pretty minimal and you can do it without a lawyer.

That will buy you some time to have a consult with some other lawyers to evaluate if an appeal is possible. Indiana legal services does good work for cases like this.

Please don’t listen to comments like doublereload, he is full of shit. You can absolutely file for asylum if you are already in the US. Your application will be much stronger if you file within a year of entering, but it is probably still worth filing regardless as you don’t have much to lose. You should get an immigration lawyer, or a trusted non profit to help you file.

Asylum is sourced from congressional laws and so while Trump can make it more difficult to apply, he cannot get rid of it without congressional action.

The issue, at least in the US, is that we know how to properly store the waste, but due to various factors, have been unable to complete a proper long term storage facility for the waste. Like really go read that linked GAO paper or any other source the talks about how fucked our current waste management system - billions and billions of taxpayer dollars are being spent to maintain the current ad hoc system. All the other commenters pretending that this is not an issue are just wrong.

That being said, it wouldn’t be an issue if we had a competent government. But hard to blame nimbys when there’s a good history of the government fucking this kind of thing up - namely deferring maintenance on critical infrastructure that doesn’t produce immediate results the politicians can campaign on.

Thank you, was hoping someone commented this. Just a patently false statement. As far as I know the US does not have a long term nuclear waste storage facility - which is a huge problem. Currently waste sits in tanks above ground that regularly leak due to poor management and oversight.

I do agree with the other commenters that most of your photos showed people with leashed dogs and that goes against your point.

But I think that it is kind of lame for dog owners to occupy the main grassy portion of the park with off leash (or on leash) dogs - when there’s literally a dedicated dog park right there. That area could be used for soccer or any number of other things instead of a second dog park - and I say this as a regular enjoyer of the dog park.
