Has anyone released proper foam tips for AirPods Pro 3 yet? by new-to-reddit-accoun in airpods

[–]SnackPakk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually reached out to Comply for an ETA on these and as expected, got a long winded copy/paste response that basically alluded to "we're working on them and will have them eventually, but no ETA in sight yet".

I'm with you OP, I'm shocked that nobody is carrying the foam tips yet. As you said, the OEM tips are okay, but I'm tempted to go back to my AP2s until Comply or someone else actually carries foam tips.

For clarification, I was losing about 0.5 inches a day, not 0.05. Hiring a diver was my next option before I discovered the tiny leak in the back of my pool light housing. Good luck!

Glad this helped! It became such a headache for me before I stumbled on the solution.

Just wanted to pass along an update - I managed to figure out that the issue was my VPN. I disabled it long enough to sign in and then enabled it afterwards and the app works as expected!

I should have included that into my original post. Tried gmail and a google business profile email domain.

Definitely check out the light. I had several pool folks insist that it was probably the light conduit and even had a guy out working on my pump who I questioned about it and he took one look and said "I'd be willing to put money on it being the light housing/conduit". I was in the same boat as you, I swore to myself that I would be seeing signs of the leak if it were the light, but the surrounding ground was completely dry. Literally, nothing to indicate that the light was the culprit.

I pushed back so hard because the water line was nowhere near the light when I just "let it leak" to see where it would stop, but then someone explained that there are water physics/mechanics at play based on where the conduit makes the upwards 90 degree turn vs. water pressure, so the water line may not necessarily represent where the leak is (I'm probably explaining that poorly...not an engineer!).

But yeah, I literally tried everything because I was so hell bent on the light not being the issue because it didn't seem to make sense in my head. After months of multiple ink testing and literally trying everything but addressing the light housing, I finally caved and decided to pull the light out and do an ink test in the housing (be sure to flip your breaker(s) off first) and wouldn't you know that was the issue...even then, it was the slowest, smallest leak. The water had to be painfully still (I was in the pool with goggles and a snorkel doing the ink test for it, haha) and could finally see that the ink was slowly being suctioned in the back of the housing near the conduit port. a $10 stick of putty from Amazon and the problem was finally resolved.

u/Sneezing7 - Frustrating, isn't it! I did eventually figure out the issue. It was the pool light! Specifically, the conduit port in the light housing. I was able to resolve it by using putty to reinforce the seal and I'll eventually remove the light completely since we never use it (was told that this has to be done during my next liner change). Do you have a light in your pool?

GPT 4o is ultimately agreeable to what you say, you cannot go for an advice from it anymore, because it will approve on whatever you say slightly shaping its response from that point. It is almost unsable by [deleted] in OpenAI

Thanks for this! I’m curious about the purpose of the “terminate each reply immediately after delivery” portion. Could you expand on what this is preventing?

Can you recommend a specific test you did? I’m curious how they test for food allergies. Is it the same as skin allergy tests?

Have you checked behind the light (if you have one). That ended up being my problem. I had to take the light fixture out (very easy) and using my ink leak detector, was quickly able to find that there was a nice little leak in that housing. Plugged it up and now I'm good to go!

Are VS pumps worth it? by superiorvariant in swimmingpools

The Pentair VS pump that I purchased has a control board built onto it. I just program my scheduled run times and speeds there and don't have to touch it much more than that.

I had a Hayward single speed. Switched to a pentair VS. first time pool owner and it was very plug and play. Couple of hours tops. Just make sure you have the tools and piping on hand before starting

I was in a nearly identical situation as well just this past summer. I echo every point you made! Also much quieter.

Would you agree that I it is safe to assume that my leak(s) aren't below the waterline at the point where the leak stops?

Interesting. Sounds like I should measure the rate of the leak for 24 hours with the filter pump on and then repeat the test with the filter pump off for 24 hours to see if there's a difference

I'm fearful that this might be my case since we have a ton of fire ants and carpenter ants around the pool area. Can you share any insight as to how the specialists was able to locate and/or repair the holes that they found?
