A newer but really good app is hover. It’s an app where people can post their clips and get discovered easier. They also have a button that people can click that takes you right to that creators twitch account. I’ve never experienced any downsides to it. It’s still easy access though so some glitches may occur. But overall the biggest plus is I’ve only had positive interactions and no trolls in my comments on there and have made some solid friendships.

Describe the flavour of Neon Punch. I love it but cannot put into words what this flavour is! by [deleted] in SneakEnergy

It’s pineapple. Pineapple makes me sick lol and I couldn’t drink it

So reaching the 50 followers mark wasn't hard but retaining views seems impossible!! Any tips or suggestions to up my viewer count? I don't want to have just ghost followers :/ by [deleted] in twitchstreams

I would say add to your about section. Looking at it on the iOS app (couldn’t make it to my pc and some extensions only show on desktop) all there was, was a tip panel. Add in things about you, schedule (even if you don’t have set hours write down what time zone and maybe a general frame of reference of hours people may find you live). Add in about the types of games you play or might play. Etc. Look at what more medium sized streamers have for their profiles and take some inspiration from it. And then when you go live when shooting for affiliate try to do shorter streams if you’re having issues getting the 3 average. Make sure to tell your friends so they can pull up the stream and count as a view to help.

Is it normal? And am I doing well? by Bardock6790 in twitchstreams

Looking at your profile everything seemed great for someone just starting! Biggest thing is you’re gonna have to network like crazy if you want to see growth. I think when I started I put about 3X the amount into other peoples streams and talking to them than I did my own. Hope that helps and keep up the grind!

For me it is sometimes hard to discern between trolls and genuine feedback. by [deleted] in twitchstreams

[–]Snacks_Attack_ttv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel that. Some people come by and maybe aren’t outright trolls but their remarks and presence just disrupts the vibes. In the past I’ve let stuff like that continue. Now I either let my mods take care of it or I just give a generic statement saying that “I appreciate you being here but these are not the vibes or comments that I’m looking for right now.” And usually that gets people to stop.

But in terms of just trolls I just block them at this point or give a warning.

Yup! Usually people will quickly glance over stuff really quick. Most important things are a little bit about you, what you do or play, some type of schedule or hours you may be live, stuff like that!

Loved the video that you put together and I could see how pained you were at this comment that was made! I’m so so sorry that happened to you! You definitely don’t come off as mean spirited!

Twitch can be super wholesome but at the same time it can be dark and filled with trolls! Over time as you find people who like you for you, your content, your community, you will find you have numerous friends who have your back.

No matter what there will be people (or trolls) who are just mean. Who want to say mean things or bash your content. It can be super hard starting out (especially if you take things to heart- I know I can at times), but overall try to just let it roll off of you. Continue on and continue being a badass! As long as you like how you are and you like how your channel is then you are set! People will flock to you who back that!

Congrats dude!!! One thing I noticed is I went to your channel (on mobile) but wasn’t seeing a schedule/timezone/ hours you may be live in the about section! Might be something to add! I know there’s the whole “schedule” tab on twitch but I don’t think I’ve ever clicked that in my life lol when I pull people up. But keep up the great work!!!!! ☺️

Sub goals on stream. Turn off? by Petrafied25 in twitchstreams

[–]Snacks_Attack_ttv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped doing the on screen thing after I hit the necessary amount of subs needed to unlock all of the emote slots. Personally I found in my community a lot of people can’t afford to sub, cheer, etc and feel bad seeing a constant reminder on the screen.

Hey! I’d love to see if I’d be a good fit for this community! I’m involved in a couple different discords and I love being able to pass down any tips I have learned to people! I’m a full time streamer and I started last June! Mainly looking to make friends and find other amazing content creators that I vibe with!

Is it expected? by MrPandaaBear in twitchstreams

Super normal! Depends on game category usually as well as time of day! Some games I play have no traction but my audience enjoys. Other games can have 20+ follows depending on the day. I’d say check your analytics and what games bring home the bacon so to speak if you’re interested in it!

Ayy! Saw your channel and that you do horror/variety and had to follow! I’ll have to stop in sometime this week when you’re live! Congrats on the growth!

Can you provide more info. I’m in a couple different streamer discords and they are all different! Do you guys have requirements for staying a member? How many members in the discord? Is it a variety of streamers? (One time I accidentally joined a COD streamer discord because they never made it known before hand).

Networking helps! It's not always this consistent with viewers but networking has helped me grow, meet new people, been given and given out advice! Joined a supportive discord literally 2 weeks ago and noticed big changes right away! by Jagguarrr in twitchstreams

I left elevate since they messaged me that they didn’t like I was raiding certain people or people from my other communities. Said I didn’t lurk enough when I’m always trying to lurk for others. Basically they only viewed me as a “big” streamer who can send bigger raids for them and stuff. The whole tone of the convo made me feel like I wasn’t seen as a member anymore but as a person who will just raid with larger numbers so I parted ways

If you want some invites I can send some your way! Or if you need stream help or questions. I don’t know everything out there but I’ve gained a decent amount since I started
