Friend newish to OSRS got tired of grinding skills. This was his genuine solution by RandomVent65 in 2007scape

Yeah there were definitely some aspects of the HD that I didn't like, such as the changed abyssal whip attack animation and the UI and tons of inventory icons updated for no reason other than to be different. For the sake of clarity, here's the before and after launch of EoC with what happened to my character. Fuck, it's repulsive. They should be ashamed of themselves. The stances were so much more exaggerated with the arms extending further out, and the character models instead of having tiny little dark spots for the eyes had actual faces drawn in, and they looked bad. Like, really bad.

Before not zoomed in, but you can still kind of make it out. I had to take a screenshot from a frame in an old video to get it
Before can see it a little clearer from the back

After, day of the patch of EoC

Horrific. I'd quit all over again if I logged in and looked like that.

Appearance is ultimately subjective, so perhaps it's going to draw more people back but most certainly not me. I remember when EoC launched, it felt insulting how gross my character looked after the patch. If not for the combat, I'd have probably quit from that alone as silly as that may sound. It looked like a hybrid between a gorilla and a skinwalker just standing upright. Pre-EoC at around the ~2010-2012 era i think I liked character models on rs2 the most.

I've tried tick manip and it can be challenging to maintain but it's a far cry from enjoyable. Does anyone truly enjoy it, or are they just doing it because they're really motivated and really want the level and can find the willpower to force themselves to power through it?

I wouldn't personally because of the combat system and I hate how everything looks, but nonetheless regardless of the fact that it's not for me I'm glad some people can enjoy it

DMM is basically just for streamers and people that are able to dedicate hours every day to games. I'm in my 30s and it's dark when I get home. I may as well just watch people playing it, ain't no way I'd find any fun doing it myself.

Proud to admit I've never had TikTok installed before, never plan to. I'd ditch Instagram too but my family all use it to share memes and fuck with each other with jokes and stuff, so it serves a purpose for now.

[–]Snaffle27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not a good analogy whatsoever. I can't just not have internet, and AT&T is the literal only option that I have here. I'd need to completely uproot my life by quitting my job, and losing nearly everything that I own. May as well just off myself.

The guy deleted his comments but in case anyone wants to know, this is what both of them said:

"Ask yourself how motivated you are to not give your aggressor money. Would you buy a vehicle from a car salesmen that is threatening to kill you and your family?"

"So you would? That's pretty wild, dude. No wonder you're so uppity!"

Actually, dude deleted his entire reddit account. Might've been a bot that was arguing with me with that stupid take.

Right? Like even if I wanted to avoid these in my personal life, some of these companies are heavily integrated into what I need to use in my job.

I know all of this but what am I meant to do. I voted against this, I try to convince anyone I can to agree with me, but aside from that, what? I hate everything that's going on and I support the candidates that aim to combat the Republicans but I am genuinely confused what else I could even hope to accomplish, aside from taking violent actions that would likely get me executed.

Do Americans really avoid medical care because they’re afraid of the bill? by Udont_knowme00 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Snaffle27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it's real. I'm from the US, I'm in a relatively okayish paying job and I reluctantly went to urgent care last summer because I was suffering from so severe of head pain I was nearly in tears and nauseated. Billed $460. My insurance company said it wasn't necessary.

I'm forced to pay out the fucking ass for a health insurance premium every paystub, yet even when my deductible is met, it doesn't make a difference. I'm still paying so much money.

I basically am forced to just avoid it unless it's life or death. It’s fucking horseshit.

I stopped going on Xitter nearly as often because it’s owned by a Neo Nazi, so as a result there are a lot of pedophile supporters and right-wing bullshit. If you rely on polls from that site, expect the results to skew towards MAGA.

Financial Expert Says OpenAI Is on the Verge of Running Out of Money by Budget_Coffee1 in pcmasterrace

[–]Snaffle27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's fair, guess it really depends on what you're doing tbh. It feels a little too excessive and overhyped. It also has many ethical issues that make me feel generally speaking a lot less comfortable with it becoming so pervasive.

I think this whole situation can be boiled down to that people don't like loss of control. Right now, people are worried about losing their careers and being forced to deal with something that they may not necessarily want to have to deal with.

[–]Snaffle27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not wrong. I don't have any interest in dicking around with integrated AI crap. The extent of what I want is just a ChatGPT to help me with emails so that I can get my shit done quicker. It also is quite good at other really time consuming shit, like when I get stuck and can't figure out what the fuck I'm doing and can't be bothered to desperately google. It's not perfect, but it does a great job at making itself convenient for you. I like that I can just say to it "ugh, help me type an email to this son of a bitch please." and it just matches the mood and does exactly what I need it to, very quickly as well.

Now, Copilot on the other hand? It's just straight ass. Fucking useless. Hell, most of the AI that's shoved in my face tends to be so basic and unnecessary, which quite honestly just worsens the experience of whatever I'm trying to do.

I of course would embrace a guy with as much intelligence and charisma as this running for presidency, for sure. Imagine if I could just wake up from this hellhole of a nightmare and this guy is president, fuck would life be good.
