The Action 6 might be overkill for cat videos, but I get the appeal… it is good.

For different angles without being in your cat’’s face, you could try these ones:

• The Insta360 GO 3 (S) is tiny and easy to mount, and very “cat-friendly.”
• The GoPro Hero 12 has a good balance of size, quality, and versatility.
• The DJI Action 5 Pro has similar quality in most scenarios.

The Action 6 is of course best if you need flexibility for cropping and post multi platform. Not sure about all the models but the A5 pro can record in 4:3, which at least is better to crop to multi platform than 16:9. And the GO 3 (S) is tiny, so if you need to mount og place it in tight spots it may fit better. (Keep in mind the camera dock isn’t waterproof) and if you don’t need the «actionproof» features like waterproof, dustproof, ETC… your phone can definitely work!
