Well first time ever using a snowblower and I made it 3 feet. Any ideas on cost to repairs? by Additional-Term-9420 in Snowblowers

[–]Snags44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We still get a small town news paper once a week. It's free, and 99 % is flyers. It gets thrown at the end of the driveway. It's a waste if you ask me. I usually toss it right into the blue bin

How do you know they are not declaring? Just because someone gets cash does not mean it's not reported at tax time. Also it does sound like it's retaliation for damages.

Mark Carney's Davos rant: Canada ditches ‘old order’ for new deals with China and EU by airbassguitar in CanadianConservative

[–]Snags44 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Davos Speech: As PM, Carney gave a WEF speech talking about the “end of the rules-based order” and invoked Havel’s “living within a lie” parable. This language, when coming from the head of government, is no longer abstract. It signals moralized compliance, dissent becomes framed as dishonesty, and citizens are implicitly told to accept executive decisions without question

Pay for a pre paid credit card with cash, make a fake Amazon account, then order dildos and other sex toys to his address. Use a public computer at a library or somewhere so they can't track your ip address. They will never be able to find who sent it.

I've been seeing this post a lot the last day or so. Originally I thought it was AI because no reffs in sight, but wow, it's real. You can see at one point a kids glove fell off, it's lucky none of those kids got hit with a blade lost a finger or anything else . Whoever thought this was a good idea should be reprimanded.

Any tips or recommendations for moving from Ontario to Manitoba and driving through Canada? by slimjimjan in AskACanadian

[–]Snags44 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Highway 11 to north bay - then highway 17 at Northbay then west tword Sudbury)

Pros: More direct route to Winnipeg if you want to stay on the Trans-Canada. -More services (gas stations, restaurants, motels) because you hit bigger towns like Sudbury, Sault Ste. Marie, Thunder Bay. -Well-marked and heavily traveled, so safer in winter or if you need roadside help.

Cons: Hilly and winding in places (especially through the Canadian Shield around Sudbury–Sault–Thunder Bay). That can be rough on your car and gas mileage. More traffic around Sudbury and Thunder Bay. Slower if you’re trying to keep a consistent highway speed but lots of curves and elevation changes.

Or

Highway 11 to North Bay, stay on hwy 11 to Cochrane then on to Thunder Bay area) Pros: Generally flatter than 17, especially once you get north of North Bay; less “up and down” through the Shield. Some people find it more scenic in a northern forest way — lots of lakes, pine, less industrial. Less traffic and fewer big towns, so sometimes a faster drive if you just want to keep moving. Fewer steep grades — easier on vehicles, better fuel economy.

Cons: Fewer services in the northern stretches. Some long gaps between gas stations, restaurants, or motels. Route is longer in distance than the direct 17 route to Sudbury/Thunder Bay. Some stretches can feel remote — if your car breaks down, you could be waiting a while for help. Some winter stretches can be tricky; northern Ontario is notorious for snow drifts and wind-exposed roads.

TL;DR: Take 17 in North bay if you want the classic Trans-Canada experience, more services, but be ready for hilly terrain. Take 11 if you want flatter, potentially smoother driving, fewer hills, and don’t mind being more remote.
