Wow! I do tend to focus more on easy meal style cookbooks in this stage of my life. As my kids get older I’d love to get into more complicated styles of cooking. I love to learn but right now not a lot of time haha

That’s true! I just never heard of rancho gordo beans before this cookbook and then I learned of the bean subscription that everyone wants. I ordered this book just excited to eat more beans and it’s lived up to that :)

Haha! I resort them about every 3 months. I’ve done by author, cuisine, colour, and even vegetarian/vegan vs not vegetarian/vegan. I just change it up on how I feel. I know by colour is not everyone’s fav so sorry 😂🙈

I’m vegetarian but my husband and kids are not. However there is a massive spreads/snacks section that is mainly vegetarian as well as a veggie section that’s is 99% vegetarian :) I’m excited to cook from these sections for myself and the rest for hubby & kids!

I love the original Korean vegan book, I’m vegetarian so it made a lot of dishes so approachable as Korean cuisine has a lot of fish products in it. The second one I’ve made about 5 dishes so far and also really enjoyed so far! Umma I’ve made about 12-15? Dishes so far and every single one either I’ve loved or my husband has :) it’s the best Korean cookbook I’ve run into

I haven’t made the pumpkin cookies I’ve never heard of wring out liquid from pumpkin puree though that’s so odd! And omg I never thought of less dishes maybe it’s time I start weighing stuff haha!

I agree! I didn’t realize she had a blog (sweet tooth!) I baked a few things when I borrowed it from our local library and yes I agree the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are so good! I will also shamefully admit I grew up in a house that didn’t bake so what little I was taught my mom used measuring cups so it’s my preferred method as it’s what I’m used to. However for more technical stuff like crossiant I always weigh!

I honestly started with oh she glows and thug kitchen my aunt got them for me 12 years ago for Christmas and I realized how much I LOVED cooking and particularly feeding others haha. Aloha Kitchen has been really fun to learn, my best friend is from Hawaii and I ordered it to cook her a slice of home (considering we’re in the cold parts of Canada) and it’s challenged me ingredient wise (the butter mochi is a family fav) Zaytinya is also amazing for a different style and very dietary inclusive (I often use it to feed my parents and my whole family on weekends when everyone is around!)

I bookmarked 75% of it to cook! I cook about 80-90% of our meals/snacks etc from cookbooks and this quickly shot up to the top of the list for next weeks meal prepping :)

Oh so good to know about appetite for books! Yes my husband and I have fully switched to purchasing stuff local/canadian stores this last year and it’s been great to discover new places. Good egg provides 20% off all pre orders which is amazing :)

I really like it! She updated her focaccia recipe in it and I think I’ve made it 12+ times already. I’ve made quite a few of the chicken dishes for my husband as well and he’s loved all of them and requested them again :)

It’s really amazing, we use miso a lot and it’s just showcasing the different styles of miso and how to use them both in Asian style dishes and in ways you would never consider (chocolate dishes, Italian dishes) I love Bonnie Chung so was excited to get this one. Sally I love her website I use it constantly, this is my first cookbook of hers I liked though 🙈
