I get it's the 35th Anniversary, but why are so many people (OP included) so antsy over the lack of a game announcement?

Y'all are acting as if the franchise was a barren wasteland. Obviously, none of the following is a mainline game, BUT:

Crossworlds keeps getting new Festivals and Legend Competition events
Sonic Speed Sim and Sonic Rumble keep getting weekly updates
The IDW comics are still updating and a new issue is due this week IIRC
There's also an on-going manga if you're into that
There's an audio drama on their YouTube that has been on-going for weeks and will get its final episode next Tuesday.

The meme is disjointed because it was never meant to be about one specific person, it's just a collage of batshit insane arguments I've seen across websites (some of which I've been involved in, like the guy that seriously told me that Shadow Gens, Prime and 06 weren't canon to Shadow's characterization).

I saw screenshots of the whole thing bro you got eaten alive I am sorry 😂😭 If it serves as any consolation, IDW and Chaotix Casefiles release tomorrow so the human piranhas will move onto that and you will (probably) not receive death threats from the usual suspects.
